Hmm... Alright. How about damaging illusions instead? They fit with the whole Nightmare/Reaper theme and could replace both the mental blasts and the insubstantial trait. Of course, there seems to already be a Kitsune themed character so I guess it sort of depends on how illusion focused they are. Don't want to step on any toes.

Julian Erasis - The "Devil Count"

The Erasis family was a family of prestigious nobles, based in the Gao Kingdom. Julian Erasis was schooled in the traditional way, in preparation for the great game of politics. He had a classical education: mathematics, history, oratory skills, and many other things, including, possibly most importantly in retrospect, swordplay. Everything in his life was preparing him to become a high-class person, a noble, and finally, he was ready. But what would life be like if everything went to plan?

Julian had many brothers, cousins, and other relatives, and they envied the rising star. They knew him well, his strengths...and his weaknesses. His skill at swordplay, and his swift temper and (to them) misplaced sense of honor.

Julian came upon the scene of a staged injustice - a woman seemingly being taken away against her will by his boorish cousin. Julian challenged him to a duel. First blood, and Julian took it easily. To his surprise, his opponent fell.

The tip of his rapier had been dipped in poison. For killing his kin in such a fashion, Julian was imprisoned. Disgraced. He might as well have died. But fate had other plans for the fallen noble.

The city's prison was not kind to him, especially due to his former status. The noble received a quick education in the school of hard knocks, but Julian did not take it lying down.

The social environment of the prison was a cutthroat place based on dominance and strength, but Julian had brain to back his brawn. He carved his own fiefdom of fellow prisoners, and plotted an escape attempt.

His preparations took several months, but in the end his plan was successful. He, along with several other 'loyal' prisoners, timed their escape with the laziest shift of guards, removed the bars that had been loosened in the months prior, and slipped away in the cover of darkness.

Julian parted ways with his accomplices and headed straight to the ports. There was no way he could lay low in the city after the escape. But he could not forget. Obviously, that stupid cousin didn't know the whole plot. Thinking back, he was obviously the bait on the trap, and Julian had taken it. So who had organized such a scheme?

Julian Erasis traveled from port city to port city, on the run, never staying in one place for long. He made a bit of a name for himself, evading or defeating the Marines and bounty hunters that came after him.

I re-edited my character sheet. I put in more details and elaborated more on his abilities.

My character's clones could also do all the manual labor nobody wants (mopping etc.) and work as spies, guards or on any job where you don't want to risk a valuable crew member. I can also have some fun with them, using them as ladders or even improvised weapons. Admit it, even 25 clones is pretty nice, and not even that unbalanced (I think)...

Meh, don't worry about it. My kitsune form has got an illusionary abilitiy, but its only moderatly challenging to resist and it isn't fine-tuned. Those all increase as he grows more tails, so as of this moment, he has only one tail (with a second one growing at some point soon. Still figuring it out lol)

I was originally applying for the gunman position, but I could also be a musician/crafter, if I play up the crafting point more.And Mary would totally fall head over heel for Trittiak by the way. A man who can make any kind of gun with his body? Oh boy.

Well, ignoring the guy who used Haki, we have 12 applicants. You might want to reject two or three of em, so we should probably still wait for people who said they would join but don't have a concept posted yet, but it's looking like we should be able to get this started within two weeks! Which is good news all around.

Keep in mind that Zeone has not posted the character creation rules yet so for those that have created a character sheet you may need to make some changes to it.

I'm working on putting together a concept. Hopefully I can have it done today or tomorrow.
