The group was attacked from two sides by Kaarghaz, the troglodyte sorcerer leader and a group of rabid females. Arzag and Nordris were badly injured but the heroes prevailed.

The group discovered the orc's living quarters. The orc commander called for help as the battle raged. An ogre appeared with two wolverines. Arzag was enlarged and held the door while the others finished the troops.

After disabling a trapped statue and finding a hidden door behind, Daphne led the others up a dark stair where a magic alarm was set off. The stair opened onto a large, dwur hall where several enlarged and invisible duergar sentries ambushed the heroes.
