AppearanceSwathed in expensive clothing, Andrezi makes an impressive figure. He is tall and lanky, with rigid, stern features. He is rarely clean shaven – usually he has the shadow of a beard on his jaw. His black hair is long and thick, though the unkempt nature of it leads to speculation if the length is on purpose or just out of lack of maintenance. His brown eyes are stern and sharp, giving him a determined and fierce appearance.

He almost always carries a rapier of expensive make – the type you usually expect of a nobleman. Despite its obvious decorative nature, the large amount of wear and tear on the hilt is unmistakeable. Clearly it isn't just for show. When expecting trouble he wears a set of black studded leather armor, with a number of daggers strapped onto it and onto his belt.

PersonalityThose who know of Detori know of him as an investigator and an intrepid, gruff, no-nonsense seeker of the truth. He is a loyal and trustworthy agent for anyone who should employ him, no matter how large or small the problem. There are few things he loves so much as the law and justice, and believes that it should be used to the betterment of the people it serves to protect. As such, he will never take employment in any case where he believes his actions would be unjust. Despite his professional demeanor and rigid exterior, when it comes to personal matters or everyday things he is kind, generous, and loves to laugh.

BackgroundAndrezi is the bastard child of one of Caliphas' noblemen and a tavern girl named Alika Detori. Whereas most men of such high standing would act as though the child didn't exist, Andrezi's father took him into his house when he was young after the boy's mother died. Although he wasn't one of his father's heirs, he was generally treated almost the same. Fencing lessons, tutoring, expensive clothes, spending money – his father did not hold back in giving the boy anything he would give to his true born children. Although his father treated the boy well, Andrezi's half-brothers and half-sister were a different story. They resented his being there, and took every opportunity to show it.

Andrezi realized early on, that things would be better for himself if he laid low around the house and made himself as scarce as possible. He began going to universities to hear lectures and study. It was their he first met Professor Petros Lorrimor. He listened to several of the professor's lectures, and after one of them approached him with a question. The two ended up talking all afternoon, and from then on whenever the Professor came to Caliphas to lecture the two spent some time in one on one intellectual talks.

His first job was to serve with the civilian watch. He had wanted to join for many years, always dreaming of being a defender of the citizenry. Because of his unique bloodlines he felt he knew the differences between the classes, and how often favoritism was given to the upper classes in almost all cases. He felt if he joined he could help make a difference. In addition he knew the watch was a good place to make a name for himself without having to rely on his father's name to get anywhere. His father agreed and allowed him to join. He started out in the lowest ranks but worked hard and learned quickly. Soon, however, he learned that the everyday business of the watch was not necessarily what he had thought. There was much corruption and justice was fairly rare. With time Andrezi became increasingly disgusted and eventually left the service.

He decided instead to become an investigator, working for private individuals and free to take whatever cases he chose and taking whatever path he thought best. His father had been disappointed when he left the watch, but nodded with understanding when told of his son's plan. Andrezi hugged his father goodbye and left what had for his whole life been his home.

He took up his mother's family name, for he knew that if he came managed to start any trouble it could be a huge embarrassment and political liability for his father.
