Recruiting: Moonshae Rebellion
The Moonshae Rebellion - Forum Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e - Forgotten Realms 3.5e Estimated Members Requested: 6 Hey there,
You can get an idea of what this campaign is about below, in the Game Description. Basically though, I am looking for 6 players to fill out 3 teams of characters which will, initially, be opposed to each other. I say initially not because you are meant to eventually join forces, but because there is no magical force preventing them from working together if for whatever wholly In-character reasons they decide to do so. Aside from the main plot outlined in the Game Description, you will be largely open to do whatever you want. The campaign will continue after the rebellion, if any are interested. Anyways, as for character creation, application, books, etc.: -32 Point Buy -Effective Character Level 7 (Have a very good reason to be, like, a hobgoblin or half-fiend, please.) -Race: If you are not a human, you better have a very, very good reason to be ingrained in the Moonshae Isle. -All books available for use (You are required to have access to the Forgotten Realm Campaign Setting and Stormwrack) -Please apply to the game directly, and make sure your character sheet is attached. Provide at least a paragraph of background, more than that is better. This background should also include an explanation for MOST things on the character sheet. -Please do not apply if you're the type to drop a game shortly after joining, or if you can not post at least once every day. Finally, a quick note about combat: We will not be using grids. Instead I'll simply keep track of everyone's relevant position via narration. Also, everybody will post what they intend to do each round regardless of initiative order and then I'll put everything in order when I describe the round in full. Player-on-player violence is to be expected, but it's entirely possible that it will never occur. UPDATE (Mar 7, 2011): 2/3 Northerners accepted, 1/3 Ffolk accepted Game Description:
It is 1372DR on the twelfth of Mirtul, the beginning of Spring. You are a northerner of the Moonshae Isles. For generation upon generation, your people have sailed along he sword coast in formidable longships, raiding in the name of Tempest and Glory. That is, until roughly 72 years ago when dark gods made human moved to secure the island for their own purposes. The Kendricks, a family born from the Ffolk of the southern isles, took up arms and rallied the entirety of the isles beneath their banner as they fought to drive those foul deities from the land. When the battle was done, the leaders of the Northmen spurned the old ways and swore fealty to the Kendricks. The days of raiding are over, and your people grow slow and weak. Corrupt leaders marry their sons and daughters to "nobles" of the Ffolk. You, and many others, look upon these changes with more than a hint of dismay and disgust. Rasmus Heartbane, the son of a famous raider, has sent out a call beckoning all who long for the old ways to return to the Iron Keep, the seat of the Northerner's Power. Spring is a time for change, and as the people of the Moonshae Isles are about to find out, change is often violent. Last edited by tahu88810; Mar 7 '11 at 8:00pm.. |

Sooo... homebrew? Possibly a gentleman's agreement to use things that aren't overpowered and sort of make sense? Things like... oh I don't know, the Deviant and Daeijine Illithids (the much weaker, no LA one at the bottom)? Swear to god I have an explanation for playing these. I was thinking Elf, and that being my reason to be on the Shae's
