Forgot about destiny: for the purpose of destiny bonus, R2-V8's "sub-destiny" will be Education, because this character is definitely not combat-related, and Education is the only destiny with a non-combat destiny bonus.

I have a question regarding the Scavenger feat (Force Unleashed, page 35). The book mentions only "the construction of a single object". Would it be reasonable for this feat to apply to other uses, such as Tech Specialist, or
In character, that could mean getting a defective/non-optimal part (such as a hyperdrive) at a reduced price and scavenging the parts required to put it back to specs.
modifying a starship?

If it applies to starships, may I suggest a house rule? When the new hyperdrive costs

I have a question as to what direction you're looking to take your character both short-term and long-term. What kind of situations and environments do you want to see as far as combat and skill encounters? What are your character's long-term and short-term goals? I'm trying to get this game rolling again full speed over the next month, so answering these questions should help both of us moving forward.

So far, I like both combats and skill challenges because as a non-combat droid, I have to think hard about how I'm going to be helping the others. That's a good challenge. The skill challenges are great for that astromech since he's built as a skill monkey (even if most of those skills are the Knowledge skill).

When I built the character in the beginning, I though more about space-based combat than ground combat. I saw it a especially helpful as a starfighter's astromech, hence the high bonuses it can provide using Aid Another. However, starship encounters requires the other characters to have some ability in that area, and that group is not built that way.

The character's goals are somewhat unusual, in that his reason for existance is to serve others, so he doesn't have much goals other than serving his masters.

As far as player's goals for the characters, in the short term I'm looking at increasing his mechanical potential, both through the feats and talents that are coming at the next few levels, and using Tech Specialist on itself (raising INT by +2, of course). Long term goals I'm going to have to rethink about that, because I thought too much about starship encounters and not about much else.

Would you like the opportunity to ride along with an NPC's starfighter?

Also, I think I'm waiting on you to act in the IC thread, because your Init beat the enemies score. I feel like I should keep things moving, so I'll just assume you delay like everyone else if you don't post. I'd understand, since this scene is very much a stand off now the Kyito is hidden, and since I'm sure you're swamped trying to get your new game up and running.
