Kirt Curblood

Kirt has a lankier frame than most half-orcs. His skin is a dusky olive, and his eyes are more red than brown. He has close cropped black hair. His tusks are only prominent when he speaks, so he usually keeps his mouth shut in places where orcs aren't welcome. He dresses in leathers he's cured himself and always has a simple but well maintained longbow within reach.

Kirt is a half-orc of few words. He's much more talkative towards animals, his horse and dogs. Those who hang around him long enough do notice he has iron in his spine, an unwillingness to surrender and strong need to prove his worth.

Born into a small tribe in the River Kingdoms, Kirt never knew his parents. His human mother died birthing him and no orc ever claimed him as his own, due to his more human appearance. His days were spent avoiding beatings from the other orclings led by Horulk the chief's son and at night he slept with the tribe's dogs. Kirt had to fend for himself and began to venture into the wilderness for food, taking one of the dogs, a runt he called Gragash with him. The two made a good team with Gragash finding and flushing the game and Kirt killing it with his bow. Kirt's success drew the wrong sort of attention when he returned to camp with a young deer he'd brought down just as Horulk's hunting party had returned empty handed. Enraged that the "dogblood" was a better hunter than they, they beat him senseless and killed Gragash when he tried to protect Kirt. When Kirt recovered, he put an arrow through Horulk's eye and fled northward. His woodcraft served him well and eventually he made his way into more human lands of Southern Brevoy. While still leery of an orcblooded, his skills were much more appreciated by the humans living in the harsh wilderness and he found acceptance and respect there. This respect had him nominated for a charter position to reclaim the Stolen Lands.
