The following Players from the original game are back to their evil ways to take part in the Mayhem that is Lolths Underdark.
  • King of the Jakers Male Drow Underdark Ranger.
  • Squeak Zatrat the Kobold slave
  • Vyrwolf The infamous 'Blackclaw' the undisputed Gnoll barbarian champion Slaad demon slayer from the House of the Abyss Pit fights.

There are still 5 - 6 player spots up for grabs.

These 5 or 6 will undertake a playtest to showcase their RPing and writing prowess as an introduction to the blood curdling adventure that begins in the Drow Empire in the Underdark

Here is a list of the mostly completed applicants and previous players thus far, in no particular order. In brackets is the House Insignia worn for all to see.

The Cast of Villains
  • Kel'dorl (Church of Lolth)
    .
Wearing a breastplate emblazoned with religious symbolism of Lolths Church carved into the blackened mithril, long silver and white hair cascades around his shoulders as the drow looks upon those around him with righteous indignation... [updating]
    .
  • Rins Hune aka Wolfspider (Church of Lolth)
    .
Rins is a remarkable physical specimen, his thickly chorded arms and supple legs make him much stronger than your average drow even females. His arms are covered in intricate scars done in the name of the Spider Queen. His short white hair is well kept, his right eye is creased by a long angry scar. Though the lower half of his face is constantly covered by an ornate silver demon half mask. He wears dark clothing, he wears a tight black chain shirt and a pair of wickedly curved kukris are strapped to the small of his back. Other than his armor and weapons he wears mostly simple gear, though some of it is heavily enchanted.
    .
  • Valenya Seductress (House of Lords)
    .
Valenya has the deep, ebony skin of the dark elves, with a long, white hair cascading down her back. She has white, seemingly pupil-less eyes, and curved lips, always on the verge of smiling. She is beautiful, though she is not as graceful as most drow. She has strong but wiry muscles that do not detract from her body, which, for an elf, is very well-rounded indeed.
    .
  • Aunace (House of Lords)
    .
Aunace is even shorter and more slender than most drow, especially drow women, barely topping five feet. Her beauty is not the ostentatious opulence of many priestesses and nobles, but a sleek, simple elegance that displays her flawless features to their best advantage. The only decoration on her pure, silvery mithral armor is a skull motif.
    .
  • Xularra Olmyr (House of the Abyss)
    .
A Drow woman of a slender build, with the long white hair and glittering red eyes of common to their kind. The woman's features seem to posses a hard beauty and her eyes blaze with powerful, suppressed emotion. She wears a dark cloak over her voluminous robes, which are covered in spider-web patterns and arcane signs. Hanging from her neck is a pendant bearing a pentacle in a circle, and her hands bear rings, at least some of which seem to be magical. Beyond mere clothing and features, the drow woman seems to move with the arrogance of someone who expects others to make way for her- or die.
    .
  • Brillia Kyrt (House of the Abyss)
    .
A lovely looking drow with bright red eyes and long, white hair. She has a sly smile and her eyes gleam with wicked amusement. She is wearing red breastplate armor with a gold pentegram inside a circle. She wears a black cloak with silver tracings. On her head is a scarlet red cap. At her hip is a slender rapier that looks particularly sharp. Her voice has an alluring sound to it. On her neck is a choker and a black spider traced in silver.
    .
  • Brazen Au'rez (House of the Abyss)
    .
Typical for a Drow priestess, Brazen is very attractive, with no sense of modesty. Tall (for an elf) and thin, her skin nonetheless displays arcane scars and strange tattoos that appear in the presence of magical auras. Her bloodline is named for their striking golden eyes, and she is no exception. Brazen observes one of the more typical habits of Drow nobility, and that is an indulgence in variable and ornate hair and clothing styles, sometimes changing twice in a day. Sometimes wearing gowns of diaphanous white, others, spidersilk halters, she maintains the appearance of a high caste priestess at all times.
    .
  • Mortain Jhael'rae (House of the Abyss)
    .
Mortain is a slightly taller than average male, thin for his height and gifted with violet eyes and silver hair. Remarkable for an elf of any flavor, he is able to grow facial hair and sports a neatly trimmed goatee. He prefers reds and blacks when color is discernible, with silver and purple being secondary preferences and frequently keeps a cloak around himself despite however much (or little) else he wears, that being entirely dictated by
    .
  • Malagvyr Kilett (House of the Dragon)
    .
Malagvyr is short even by drow standards, but he moves with a confidence and lithe grace that make him seem more intimidating and larger than his frame suggests. Born with blue eyes, he accentuates this abnormality by dying his stark white hair with a slight blueish hue, which is usually worn shoulder length cascading haphazardly to his shoulders; he chooses a wardrobe of dark blue robes, which are made from the finest silk he can find, imported from the far reaches of the upper world. Malagvyr often wears a condescending smirk.
    .
  • Dor'an (House of the Dragon)
    .
Dor'an is unusually muscular and scrappy for a male drow. Although not very charismatic for his race he is physically attractive and strong. Dor'an wears no armor, preferring simple, dark, fine quality clothing spun from spider silk that doesn't impede his movement. His clothing usually has spiderweb motifs or images of Lolth. He keeps his hair cut short.
    .
  • Laelrin Adinuit (??)
    .
Laelrin looks like any other drow noble, garbed in rich, provocative clothing and ordering people around, but his innocuous (as far as anything is innocuous in the Underdark) facade isn't always perfect. There's a hint of hellfire in his eyes, and sometimes - just sometimes - he looks...wrong. Horns sprouting from his head. Teeth of ebony black. And any number of other oddities. He typically has an explanation on hand, but otherwise he makes no effort to conceal them, wearing them casually - flaunting them, even.
    .
  • Sakeri Do'Arvl (House of Caspar)
    .
[updating when more apt description is made.

The Slaves, Pets and Playthings
  • Zatrat a Kobold slave (House of Merchants)
    .
Rust colored scales surround the spindly-armed kobold, his wide, innocent looking gem-like eyes expressing the vapid stupidity you know lies within. The only remarkable features of this rather plain looking kobold slave is the purple beanie he wears upon his head and the small stick he carries.
    .
  • Blackclaw a wild and feral Gnoll (House of Caspar)
    .
Blackclaw is a big, muscular gnoll with reddish-brown fur and, of course, his namesake claws. He has wild, bloodshot eyes and a crazy, snaggletoothed grin, a fierce sight if there ever was one. His fur is matted and blood-stained, and he stinks like the gore of whatever last stood against him. His mithril breastplate armor and gauntlets are battered and scratched, a testimony to recent engagements. He has two bastard swords sheathed on his back.
    .
  • Paerz L'aersys a strange being, a Ncyter (House of Slavers) DEAD Killed by (Zat)Rat Torture
    .
Even among the evil denizens of the deep, Paerz is an unsettling sight to behold. She is a Halfling-sized ball of blood, bone, scar tissue, and malevolence incarnate. Her face is so mangled it is virtually impossible to discern her features besides the beady, red orbs that are her eyes, and so hideous to discourage all but the insane from further investigation. She has no arms, but rather long, spindly bat wings that are crooked and swollen. Her feet are disfigured, missing three toes with the remaining eight sporting jagged, yellow nails which have grown back askew.
    .
  • Prirr a Kuo-Toan (??)
    .
A faint odor of rotten fish upon his arrival, Prirr, looks just like any other Kuo-Toa you might have seen before. Not very tall, pudgy and, to most, hideous. His long skinny arms and legs, like all his body, are covered with fine hard scales that change color depending on his mood. Most of the time they are green but they vary from red, and white.
    .
  • Calcryx a wrymling dragon (House of the Dragon)
    .
The thin, 4 foot-long wyrmling has scales that glisten like mirrors, and piercing eyes the color of blue glacial ice.
    .
  • Killgore a Minotaur (House of the Dragon)
    .
Killgore is a towering mound of muscle and fur. He stands just over eight feet tall, with black fur. As the bodyguard of a house noble, he is force to bathe often and look as presentable as possible. He was also gifted with an armored Breastplate making him look even more impressive. He has several scars over his body and quite a few on his face. He keeps a large double bladed Greataxe strapped to his back.
    .
  • Gerbimble aka the Trap-springer, a Gnome (House of Puzzles ?)
    .
Gerbimble is quite gaunt, dressed in loose black clothes under a dark woolen cloak. Though they cover most of his body, it is easy to catch a glimpse of his scarred and burnt skin, from springing traps, torture and general mistreatment by the drow.
He has raven black hair, carelessly cut by himself to keep it at a sensible length. His skin tone is grey and he has large grey eyes that constantly flickers and shifts. Every move he makes is swift and energetic, embracing every advancement even if it be right in the face of danger.

That is those who have rolled stats
Current applicants are welcome to finalise their applications... once finalised they may be invited to a playtest pending GM discretion...

YES that means the game threads are going to be opened... soon

Ok I'll give everyone the weekend to finalise their apps... at least til 97% before you can begin the prologue playtest.

I'll be opening the game threads after the weekend, and those invited may find themselves in small or solo groups until... the MERGE.

Wow that just sounded like Survivor !?!

Candidates Accepted for Playtest

I would have liked to take all of you, however from experience I find that it creates too much work for me and tends to dilute the enjoyment factor with a mountain of posts for everyone to read and respond to.

So with a heavy heart I have had to make a cut, needless to say those cut still had great applications, however for one reason or another just missed out.

In addition, the previous players: Vyrwolf, Squeak and King of the Jakers will be participating also

Stay tuned for an invite, then I'll be conducting a quick audit where some minor changes may be required... also those who are Lolth touched need to read a special info thread and make the required tweaks.

The Pickled Goblin thread will be opened... where formal introductions may be made.

The game threads will be opened on a rolling basis, at which time you guys may begin posting in game immediately.

Please Ensure you read the House Rules, and during game play you may use the Room of Whispers for any private GM chatter... skill and combat related rolls will be made in a private tag until further notice. This is to keep your prowess a secret from the other players... I'll provide more info on this later... Basically I want everyone to enjoy an atmosphere as close to real as possible... and the game mechanics therefore will be kept private.

Disclaimer

Please note Due to the high number of applicants participating in the playtest for 5 - 6 positions, players can expect violent bloody mayhem and other vile deeds which will result in player deaths. If you are not prepared to deal with character death please reject my invitation... Player vs Player conflict is not on my agenda... well maybe not directly... so be warned any applicants thinking they can eliminate the competition will be... PUNISHED... in the most vicious way possible... unless of course it fits the story...

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
