Exploring the Ship: Camael

Camael sighs inwardly, resigning himself to bearing his chapter's curse for a little longer. He is careful not to betray this disappointment to Gaius, who, after all, has just acquitted himself well under fire. With a gesture, the Blood Drinker invites the enginseer to accompany him to the bridge as he begins walking in that direction.

"Do not dwell upon the past, Gaius. If you failed to detect the taint, you also did honour to your training by saving this ship from certain destruction. It would be as sinful to excoriate yourself for the failure as to rest upon the laurels of victory." His voice is kind as he says this - it is a lesson he is continually having to re-learn, himself.
