if it's on DDI, it's allowed (there will be a few exceptions).
characters must be good. The campaign will follow a cliché "good vs evil" line, as the heroes fight the forces from hell to save the world.
the three main races are Human, Half-elf, and Outcast (dwarves). If you pick dwarf, you can choose the traits of either gnomes, halfings or dwarves. If you choose half-elf, you can have the elves', drow's or eladrin's traits instead of the normal ones (this also changes your race for every game aspect, like qualifying for feats and paragon paths). If you chose human, you can have the traits of any other race not mentioned before and not disallowed (see below).
Disallowed races: Tieflings, pixies, satyrs, hamadryads and Thri-Keen. Devas are not allowed, but you can pick an human and choose its traits. The same works for Eladrin; you can pick half-elf and choose their traits.
To clarify things, you can still pick races that are not "core" (human, half-elf and dwarf). You just have a choice to play it while being an human.
Besides the obvious part, keep in mind that your character is already a champion of Irengard. How did he/she achieve this position? How did he/she become trusted by the king? Remember you are at level 16 and, by now, you should have a bunch of incredible stories and feats behind you.
Beyond the description, a picture will score you some points here. Just avoid anime-esque stuff. It wouldn't go well with this campaign.
: what's your experience with roleplaying games (and 4th edition)? As a player, what you expect from the game and why would you be a good choice for it?
A Character Sheet
is not obligatory right now. You can submit your character and, if you are chosen, decide later the class you want to play and create your sheet, as long as it fits your background. I also don't care for party composition and the so-called role balance. If the best submissions are 4 Wizards, carry on.
Notice that there's only a brief description about the realms. This is intended; I want to give players freedom to create their characters' backgrounds. You are free to create towns, NPCs, and anything else to enhance your submission. Be creative! Provide hooks and side histories to the game. :)
When you're completely finished with your application, go ahead and post it in this thread
. That will make it easier for me when it comes time to select players, but please don't post until you're sure you're done. I don't mind a few last-minute tweaks, but I don't want to see any incomplete applications in there.
