Turning rapidly at the sound of running feet, Chitter bares his teeth in preparation for combat. He silently gives thanks to Yesterday that he was wearing his heavy armor as he rolls up onto the balls of his feet and plans his attack.
Whatever could be said of Rin, both positive and negative, it could not be denied that in such engagements as this she knew the extent of her reach and her duties. It could hardly be made more clear as she pronounced judgement on the bandits who had attacked them. "Lay down your weapons and you will be given a swift death for your crimes of banditry!"
Of course, a Magistrate of her bearing was nothing if not willing to show her conviction as the No-dachi flashed out with effortless grace from her opening wide stance pose. Her skill was easily noted with the blade as she put her slender weight into it as she followed through with her strike and returned once more to the wide legged stance with the lengthy blade held low with hands well spaced along the handle.

He worried slightly about the attack on the Kitsune, not being sure of how well she could handle herself, but spared no attention for the Scorpion. The magistrate clearly knew how to handle her no-dachi, judging from the other bandit's cries of agony.

The archer drops to the ground. Perhaps still alive, but with the blood flowing from his wounds he likely wont be that way long. With some level of dread the remaining bandits eyes shift to the Scorpion samurai.
Their refusal to surround left no room for pause as Rin's no-dachi sung once more as it cleaved the air with an audible whine. The long slender blade, honed as sharp as a katana's edge, sought out it's prey once more as the final judgement was given in accord with the laws penned by Soshi in centuries long past.
