I have a lvl 7 Jedi on another game here on the Weave. I have been playing him for years and he still does not have any kind of armor. In fact some of the other players, who are scouts, have bare minimum armor, even no armor. All in the character you play!

It's the EXACT same stats (minus the weight difference because the Republic/Empire can produce lighter material on a mass scale then Mandolorians) of Clone/Stormtrooper armor so 8,000 would be a good starting place.

High leveled characters are potentially better off with no armor. At low levels it is typically better to have armor. But yes, the character build can make a difference also.

i will purchase weaps and gear underthe assumption that 8k will be the price.

The Neo-Crusader light armor also has a jet pack, 10 hours of life support (can survive in a vacuum), and four open upgrade slots (light armor typically only has one which in itself can be a big boon).
Let me know once we score a bit more cash and I'll pick one up too at that price!

@Yohan, I'd suggest shrinking that pic. It's fine for a post or two but if put on every post it is going to be taking up a lot of space.

also on armor: i read that in the full description as well. Mando combat suit looks good to unless there is Tech Specialist willing to help out during our next resting phase... I may switch my suit selection depending on GM pricing.

If I'm reading the Scoundrel class right I'd have to take proficiency feats even to use light armor, and I haven't seen any light armor that gives me significant benefits to be worth the feat. Even something as simple as a vest would make me sacrifice reflex defense. So as strange as it feels, I guess I go in bare.

Pretty much. Everyone loose their armor around level 5-7 regardless.

After that, you need to be a soldier with a couple of Armor talents because then you add it (and then some) onto what you get for your level bonus. For everyone else, it's useless outside of using it for stealth mods (i.e. applying shadowskin to it), a personal holoprojector disguise, and so on for things that require alot of power sources. You want to sink your money into the weapons, medpacks, bribes, and pazaak cards.
