Island Retreat: Andurian Campaign

Setting: Lykarde Island
Plot: To be revealed

This is going to be a short campaign based in Anduria, an original setting with its own take on technology and magic. Our adventurers will have to uncover the secrets of the island.

Story style: Main plot semi linear with characters having the free will to branch off from the main plot or seek out their own adventures. The ending is open, meaning the characters can succeed or fail based on their decisions.

Setting size: The Island of Lykarde. Players will not be leaving the island in this campaign.

Main areas of Lykarde:
Teiron: This is a busy port city full of Humans, Garteen and any other race that escaped war. The majority of people make a living fishing and trading. The final name was never decided upon by the mixed races so they gave it two names. This will be the starting point of the main plot.

Ashtar: The one place no one goes with out a good reason. This port is home to pirates, thieves, assassins, etc. Those that live here do so with the Assassin guild's 'protection'. It is a safe haven for anyone avoiding the law. Its simple construction leads up to a fortress built by the Assassin Guild a long time ago. The town is rather peaceful despite its citizens. This is also the only place a free pixie may purchase the crystal food its dependent upon.

Zandark: The first and only village of free Garteen. This is the closest village to the main part of the island and is inhabited by Garteen only.They make a living as hunters, fur traders, laborers, etc. They build homes of clay, brick, thatch and anything else they can make. Their homes are placed around a central area with the Chieftain's home being largest.

Other places: Various settlements range across the coasts and the edge of the forests, but something on the island prevents a more thorough exploration of the island's interior.

Game Description:

Evil Tidings: An Andurian Campaign

Lykarde Island has long been a place where refugees from the war can call home. Any of the living races can be found here though Humans are the majority on most of it. Teiron is the self proclaimed capitol of the island and serves as a major port for people coming and going to the island. The island is a primarily peaceful place to live though is filled with people hurt by the war on the main continent. Settlements range out around the island but never far in for the forests are filled with many dangers. The Garteen seem to be the only ones who can live with in the forest with out rousing what ever force keeps the rest at bay.

On the other side of the island is the rogue port Ashtar, home of the Assassins Guild. All who live in Ashtar do so with the Guild's protection and permission. The city is rather peaceful considering it contains many of the dregs of society. Just about anything can be found in Ashtar for the right price.

Setting: You are an assassin working with in the Hand, an Elite Guild located on Lykarde Island. The Leader of the guild has recently vanished and as a trusted member the the Hand you have been selected to investigate.
Campaign Size: A couple months, has the option of going longer if the group wants to continue beyond original plot.

About the DM:I have been a roleplayer for about 10 yrs and have been a DM in PbP games occasionally. This campaign is based off a PbP game I created years ago. I'm into sci fi and fantasy and enjoy creating storylines. I hope to improve my storytelling by DMing small campaigns until I am ready to start on larger campaigns. I am online most of the time as I work from home and am a very active roleplayer.
