ODnD+clones: Players of Older D&D and Clones

I've never played anything older than 2E, but I would like a chance to try. Is it hard to grasp?

Ctk86 if you have played 2e you will have no problem with any older editions. Major changes weren't made to the rules until 3.0.

"T" I will get a post out to you tomorrow weekends are a no fly zone for me as far pbp goes

I played 2E once and had the only character that didn't die. She was a Valkyrie I think.

i am running a red box OD&D game, if you are interested?
I have a thread on character creation in the Game Forum.

I might down to play, which game is it?

if you check my profile (the ad isn't up anymore)
its called 'Messengers of Darkness'.
Its an evil campaign, if you are still interested.

I still might be, I saw it in there.

Would anyone be interested in playing Stars Without Number? Not an old school game but its very compatible with old school D&D. You can get it free here. I have the print version of the game (which also has nice AI and mech rules) as well as the Skyward Steel supplement. I've been watching Mouretsu Pirates, so I'm thinking of running a ship based game of Space Pirates/Corsiars or some such. Not decided yet, but I do want to give this a try in some way.
