I'm going to say that H'trank does not begin the game knowing anyone, no buddies from the past or the like, as she is quite new at Greyfalcon.

I find that it does help with initial group collusion if you can get people to have background with one another, however I've only really seen it done with people who actually know each other or have played together before so it would be interesting to see done.

Remember, not everyone (if anyone) has been accepted yet, so go with your idea and I'm sure Grendel will put together what he sees would be best for the game. Given the description of the game, I was initially thinking of building a tech specialist/hacker type, however someone beat me to the punch. In reading through the materials the medic/scientist side really interested me for role play. I'm not sure if the medic side is something that really fits in the confines of this company and their goals, though there are other things that I believe the company could use the medics abilities for so I threw out the idea.

My guy is not a hacker he a Security Consultant type tinkerer of junk. But sorry If I dissuaded your choice there Zeo.

Shane, no worries - I'm happy with my choice! I may have read it wrong, I saw tech and assumed (before I really read the materials) that it covered hacking as well. But again, when I read, I really liked a possibly angle I can take on medic.

Computers is one of the skills under the Tech PSA. That covers hacking. The others are Tschnician and Robotics, the former being a catch-all for non-computer, non-robotic machinery.

The Bio-Social PSA has indeed been replaced by the Scientist PSA. All previous Bio-Social skills are there, in addition to Space Science. A medic is a useful member of any trouble-shooting team, but more than one primary and back-up is too redundant.

Correct me if I am wrong, but we have so far:

zeo2002 - Cid Bawl, medic
kbrn62 - Alexis Grant, Investigator
MadHatter - Connor Flylock, technician
DeJoker - undecided
d_ns - H'trank, Vrusk sniper/shooter
Dragyn - Andrew LaFollet, martial arts

This is a pretty good team, the only things missing are either outdoors (Scout PSA) or vehicle (Pilot PSA) skills.

Cool well that looks like I have found my niche of sorts :-)

Will work on building the Scout/Pilot those seem like dovetailed skills -- also Madhatter just call me Marchhare :-)

I look forward to seeing the application for scout/pilot. The team seems to be coming together. Are there any more interested players?

Great I will have it posted as soon as I can get all the pieces together. I will leave some space to implement the connection to Conner Flylock after I get some feedback from Madhatter for that connection

Oh and zeo2002 I have done this extensively wherever I can -- either as the GM or as a player. I basically reach out to the other players and see if they'd be interested in this. Some respond some do not. It takes bit of give and take to create some connections and not all connections have to be of the completely friendly type. The purpose here is to set up some prearranged character dynamics which enhance the role play of the game. I tend to be a rather mutable player, having played nearly just about everything, and as such I try to dovetail my character into the role more than trying to get the other player to do so. However, I have found that sometimes this dovetail process opens up aspects of another player's character that they had not thought about and their character morphs a bit as well. I have played, younger brothers, big brothers, boyfriends, friendly-rivals, and other roles and most turn out a lot more fun than having relied upon generic development. Note on this the connections are always such that the two players have a reason to continue kibbitzing with one another so some things do not work well for this and other relationships like love/hate ones are tricky to pull off and take a lot of player coordination to maintain the connection. However, if you have no connections to anyone that kind of limits making connections ;-) unless you work out with another player in advance for a future connection -- one that you want to develop as the game progresses.

Should we assume that if we're listed below we are accepted or wait until you close all applications requests to continue making our character and character sheets?

Thanks!
