When Luc hatched in the great warrens of the capital city, it was far from obvious the great role he would play in the twilight of Rapatosian civilization. With neither the viciousness for leadership nor the compassion for taming the great wilds, Luc began studying the art of engineering from a young age. As an adolescent, he apprenticed under the tutelage of Ethnajakranal, a true artist of the synthetic mind whose designs produced the greatest leap in Armature technology since the first machine asked the question "Why do I live?"

It was no surprise then, when the academy selected Luc to oversee the Armatures guarding the Citadel at Karris. It was a fine way to spend a life, guarding the most precious legacy of the Rapatos from the Seditionists who wished them harm. Many years passed as Luc grew into his responsibilities, and he retreated into the near-monastic life required of the citadel's keepers.

Sedition, as much as the capital tried, was a constant in Rapatos society. Year after year, reports of sedition floated across the transmissions that linked Karris to the outside world. At first, Luc paid them little mind. They were evil, they were strife, they stood to unravel the glory of the Rapatos, to sink the great ship that had carried them all from the savagery of the beasts whose world they shared.

Luc's first shred of doubt appeared when new soldiers arrived to protect the citadel. They were hard Rapato, world-weary and reluctant to fully accept their place in the odd society at Karris. Luc spoke with them, ate with them, drank with them, and one day many moons after they arrived he learned the truth from one young soldier. They had campaigned against the seditionists, carving a bloody streak through the camps in the wilderness where sedition lingered. Luc still does not entirely understand how his mind changed that day, but from then on he saw the roots of sedition in a new light. In every report, every newsreel, Luc saw a different face, a different mind. The seditionists, while agressive in their actions, merely wished to live a life apart, to live free from the capital. And as his understanding grew, Luc began to agree...

The last straw, as it were, was a great victory for the capital, broadcast throughout the empire and shown in glory to all the Rapatos. Leaders of the seditionists had been traced to the ancient Temple of the Rock, and with great honor and courage warriors had laid siege upon them, bringing an end to the heart of sedition and those who would protect it. Yet to Luc, it was merely the destruction of an ancient holy place, once the sould of the Rapatos and a place of peace. From then on, he was changed.

On a brief sojurn to the capital, Luc sought and joined the resistance, yearning to bring change to the civilization he once loved. His role was simple; Luc was to develop a backdoor in the Citadel's security. When the time came, he would send a command to turn the Armatures against those they had protected, freeing the citadel's treasures to be shared with all the Rapatos.

Luc never was able to enact his plan. The cataclysm put an end to that. In the face of oblivion, Luc's priority changed. All he could do was protect the legacy of their culture. Luc served the citadel valiantly, until the time came to take the deep sleep and await whatever the future would bring...

Luc is fairly small for a Rapatos, though by the standards of other races he is still quite monstrous. His scales are a dull green and brown, occasionally verging into an orangish tint and reminiscent of a forest floor. Usually he is seen wearing a bandoleer filled with an assortment of tools and implements, with a small computer wrapped around his left wrist.*

Luc is many things, an academic, an extremist, a tinkerer and an artist. Most of all, he is thoughtful. Curiosity and contemplation are the bedrock of his personality, and while his emotions run deep he is very slow to anger. He is skeptical as well, rarely taking what he has seen at face value. Conversely he is slow to trust, always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Luc is most in his element when working with machines; he shows an unusual enthusiasm and his creations are nearly always elegant and effective.

"Hey, you... eyes up here, okay. There you go."

A brilliant though obviously sarcastic smile crosses her face as she looks you up and down as well, one brow quirking up as she meets your eyes again... finally.

"So yea, I'm the local entertainment, I can sing and dance and play an instrument or two, if you think I don't belong here well... F you. Everyone needs their minds taken off things every now and then, if you don't like it go jump off the nearest cliff or go find some other eye candy to feast on. I'm five foot six inches tall, my weight is my own damn business and what you see is what you get. I like my figure, I like my curves... and yes, I like to show it all off when I can by wearing skimpy clothes.

Once again, you have a problem with that..... Bite me."

Though she doesn't wear the hats and spurs, Lizzy is quite the cowgirl. At college she use to love to wear dresses, preferring to let her feminine side shine and show that she is a young woman. But away from the confines of school she would slip back into her favorite blue jeans, boots, V-neck T-shirt and vest, all the trappings of the lifestyle in which she grew up in. (and even occasionally a cowboy or baseball hat.)

Raised on a cattle ranch/farmstead, Chanty has a good understanding of crops and livestock, having hands on experience at raising both. With three brothers that were avid gamesmen she learned to hunt and fish, though she was never 'great' at it... something about killing helpless bambi's when you could just go down to the market for meat made it all senseless to her. Basically all it taught her was how to handle a handgun or rifle, anything else was lost in the translation.

Early on she recognized that she was musically talented, she would sit for hours at end plucking away on her father's six-string guitar and listening to music off of the internet and the family collection. She came to like nearly all styles of music as everything had something to offer and she wasn't one to be a hypocrite and have a closed mind.

She stared in high school sports, lettering all four years of school in Volleyball, Basketball and Track, but her athletic abilities never went farther than high school, she was more determined to keep her education going then worry about carrying on in college sports.

Her college education consisted of taking anything that would further her musical career. She found she had a natural talent for talking with other people, engaging people in conversations and drawing information out of them that they normally wouldn't give up so freely. Though she was obviously a smart ass with her attitudes, she wasn't mean or aggressive unless prodded to defend herself. So though she majored in Music, she minored in Social Services, thinking that just in case she couldn't provide for herself with her musical gifts, she would have a profession to fall back on... helping people out.

But Lizzy isn't a choir girl, far from it. She has her share of demons to battle. She likes booze a bit to much, has experimented sexually a bit too much (she was in college after all), and has made an enemy or two when people couldn't intimidate her and found out rather quickly that she has a bit of a cruel side to those that mess with her.

But in all, she can't complain, life's been good to her so far. Look where she's found herself!

William Bextrom was born to a family of moderate wealth in the domed colony he calls home. His father Richard was a prominant agent with the R&D branch of the military, and his mother Francine was able to be a homemaker. His younger sister Alyssa and he were always close growing up. Bill always did well in school, and knew he wanted to pursue higher learning once he graduated. Fortunately, his father was able to send him, and Bill felt he wanted a career in medicine.

Many years of schooling later, he was able to add "M.D." after his name. He spent two years at the same hospital he interned at, adding
