"I'm telling you I'm nearly 23, let me in! Yes its a real drivers license, I got it last year, and if you dare ask if I'm skipping class I'll deposit you in the Nevernever!"

High Concept
Invocation: As being part of the church her whole life, she's managed to eke out a position in it. She is their wizard and its part of her very identity despite the theological differences of opinion. From that her magic has a decidedly holy flare to it often attempting to emulate the miracles of lore.
Compulsion: She will fight for her people tooth and nail, threaten it and you may find yourself on the end of a particularly nasty curse.
Faithful Warden of the Cathedral

Trouble
Invocation: Magic can only be performed for things you believe in and Molly's power is all that and more. It remembers every being its ever come in contact with and it evolves to suit the situation as needed.
Compulsion: The ghouls in New Mexico showed her the power of fear and the Black Court Vampire incident taught Molly to use her magic in ways she never thought of before. Every supernatural being that Molly has destroyed is permanently etched into her mind and its burned into her soul. Those who have looked into her eyes see her standing on a mound of past and future enemies who have or will cross her and each one will cost her though some more than others. May be compelled as if it were a mild mental consequence.

The nightmares alone keep her from sleeping occasionally.
These Battle-Stained Walls of My Soul

Other Aspects
Invocation: Molly was, if not born, raised knowing magic and its through that she has a unique perspective and a great aptitude in manipulating the mechanics of it in ways other people may not have thought of.
Compulsion: She takes many of the qualities of her life for granted in that she's always had what she's had. Though she has had to work to maintain them its almost effortless to do so. Take them away and it would be as if you pulled the carpet out from underneath her.
Definitely not a Muggle!
Invocation: Molly has been afforded a very unusual place within the Roman Catholic Church. She literally is a citizen of Vatican City, passport and all. Though not widely publicized this gives is a level access that few could dream of and number of contacts within the organization the others would never meet.
Compulsion: On the flip side however, she is perhaps for the rest of her life, on call. If she's needed she will have to answer the call. Though usually this is a matter relating to a particularly unruly spirit, possession or identifying a magical artifact and determining whether or not it truly has a religious value. That does not mean that the call can't be much much more dire.
Eldritch Citizen of the Vatican
Invocation: Or at least Experimenter of God, it decidedly has an angelic quality to it, and with it she has learned long and hard about the value of research and experimentation. If given even a few moments Molly can whip up a frightful and original working quickly. Though like some experiments the results can be unprecedented and decidedly unpredictable.
Compulsion: There is power in the name Hnsiinel, even with just that portion of it a strong tie to Molly can be found and formed... but perhaps even more importantly something much bigger is tied to both Molly and that middle name.
Alt. Compulsion: Even knowing her middle name will get her interest though its a bit heavy handed. You want something just claim you have knowledge of it and you'll have yourself a bargaining chip.

Equipment
Weird... this is a very familiar duster to anyone who has been apart of the White Council or visited Occult Chicago.
Leather Duster
A simple silver crucifix on copper byzantine chain.
Silver Crucifix
Around wearer's waist rests a dark maroon belt with a number pouch of varying sizes and weights. As well as a book shaped holster like one would have for a gun that's book shaped. Also has a belt loop that looks like its designed for the Canon Rod. The belt looks rather well designed with enough spaces between the pouches and the like to accommodate in-field adaptations. A keen nose could easily sniff out a pungent smell of chalk and mint.
Homemade Leather Belt
Something every religious wizard truly needs. Has a picture a certain Warden of Chicago from a distance and poorly taken, somewhat faded.
Vatican Passport & Wallet
An ancient device with a very worn looking cassette.

[-1]
A useful and viable tool in Molly's repertoire. The Sight may just be the cause for her abilities of perfect recall and the like. As a result her perspective through the sight is often warped by her perspective on the absolute existence of knowledge and her belief that everything exists in balance
Opening the Third Eye. You may use the Sight to fully open your third eye, with all of the risks and rewards that come with it. See page 223 for details on how the Sight works.
The Sight
[-0]
Those who look upon Molly's soul often will get the impression of a naive youth standing upon a mountain of enemies with her power always brought to bare. For most this is often extremely jarring when the vision begins to age hundreds or thousands of years into the future with the ramifications of her life.
Soulgaze. You are subject to the uses and effects of Soulgaze as described on page 226.
Soulgaze
[-0]
As a Wizard there exists the potential for Molly to live hundreds of years. However somewhat worrysome is the fact that by the time she was turning fourteen her aging had already begun the slow down earlier than it would for most. Its often an annoyance that she puts up with when people begin to question the authenticity of her driver's license.
Total Recovery. You are able to recover from physical harm that would leave a normal person permanently damaged. You can recover totally from any consequence - excluding extreme physical ones - with no other excuse besides time; simply waiting long enough will eventually heal you completely.
Long Life. As a side-effect of her improved ability to recover from injury, your lifespan is significantly extended.

Other Spells
Circulu – Water
This spell is very basic entropic working which etches a small perslaon circle and if needed runes at the whim of the user into the ground for use in quickly setting up and cleaning an area for thaumaturgy. A variation of this spell will instead conjure ink but work in the same fashion (Tintas Circulu). A shift or multiple shifts can increase the size and scope of it quickly.

Globu Luzas – Spirit/Conjuration
One of Molly’s first spells ever invented. Combining basic ectoplasm with standard light she is able to create a semi-physical light source which if needed can be tossed or splattered or hardened. Ramping it up through shifts can potentially create a powerful flare like effect, but otherwise a simple light spell.

Deshacer el deseo – Thaumaturgy
This binds a bad luck curse to a specific item that when used as its designed to be used is triggered. Immediately the bad luck is transferred to the person where it will for a short period of time, giving them hell.

Common Potions
Mask of a Thousand Faces - Biomancy
This potion is primarily meant to reproduce the Red Court’s flesh mask abilities through a single sip allowing the user to quickly create disguise complete with clothes and a predetermined appearance.

Quick Aid – Biomancy
One of Molly’s lesser used potions but still a favorite. This potion while not actually healing a person will temporarily fill any wounds that they may have with an ectoplasmic simulacrum of flesh.

The nightmares alone keep her from sleeping occasionally.

Background
As far as Molly knows she was orphaned on the day she was born, her mother only alive long enough give her dying wishes that she’d be sent to the Saint Uriel’s Archangel Monastery just on the outskirts of New York City. Her aptitude for magic however did not go unnoticed, possibly by design, as she was quickly taken in by Father Marius Nicchi.
Phase Aspect: Definitely Not a Muggle!
Take them away and it would be as if you pulled the carpet out from underneath here

Rising Conflict
As Molly grew up Marius turned out to be a man who had enough talent to safely guide her in the arts of magic and gain her contacts to the Church’s mystical clergy. Many a day passed where debates in theology and magical theory took place when books and vinyl music records could not keep the pair from interacting on an intellectual level.

As she grew up, her abilities however quickly began to match the limits that of her father figure. Between her youth and during her teenage years she would accompany Marius on various activities, her talent with magic eventually extending her reputation as problem solver for many of the Catholic Churches' supernatural problems in the United States when more official means could not be of use. With access to a network of minor talents throughout the Catholic order she began to push beyond him with an expanded knowledge until her activities were spotted by the White Council. In short order she tested as Wizard potential and put under the part time apprenticeship of the regional Warden Commander. With a war on she was drafted, despite her ties one of the largest organizations on the planet.

At the age of sixteen and one of the youngest apprentice wizards, she survived her first encounter with the Red Court War during a Ghoul attack on the Warden Training camp in New Mexico, though mostly due to quick nerve on part of fully trained Wardens. Unfortunately this would be only the beginning of her nightmares as a Wizard of the White Council though. The relationship with her father figure Father Nicchi would soon be at an end as a result.
Phase Aspect: Eldritch Citizen of the Vatican

The Story - "Eldritch Affairs"
Even with surviving a confrontation with the cannibalistic Ghouls, Molly’s story had yet to begin, it did however flower into a bloody mess when an attack meant for New York’s regional Warden Commander found only Father Nicchi comatose, near death and leaving Molly as the only one in the area with possible talent to find out who and why.

The clues however were there to be had as she discovered the possibility it was magic itself that bound Nicchi to his death like state. Black Court Vampires, a group of pure fledgling attempting to eke out a living had been preying on the local minor talent population Marius had been a hard fought prize. And the evidence was there.

Through the skin of her teeth and memories of how a real wardens truly acted, Molly went medieval. The coven met its end and doom was avoided but came with the cost of Father Nicchi’s life and possible information relating to the identity of Molly’s birth parents and how he knew of her magical talent. All that had been gained was the ashy piles of black court runaways and the revelation of her middle name.
Phase Aspect: Experimentation is my Middle Name
Invocation: Or at least Experimenter of God, it decidedly has an angelic quality to it, and with it she has learned long and hard about the value of research and experimentation. If given even a few moments Molly can whip up a frightful and original working quickly. Though like some experiments the results can be unprecedented and decidedly unpredictable.

Alt. Compulsion: Even knowing her middle name will get her interest though its a bit heavy handed. You want something just claim you have knowledge of it and you'll have yourself a bargaining chip.

Guest Star - "xxxxx"
Phase Aspect: Eidetic Mind
Invoke: The mind of a wizard isn't something most people care to entertain in any fashion, Molly is no different. Her ability to retain knowledge is immense even if its not entirely understood at the moment of acquisition. With it she can carry anything she has ever been exposed to with her, whether it be bookish knowledge of passing information. Some suspect that it could be some form of lesser Sight while others think that it could just be the blooming of a prodigy. But when invoked she can call up details about any scene she's lived through from the clothing on people's backs to physical descriptions. And just as readily begin word for word recitation of complete chapters from books, or lyrics.
Compel: Her abilities are central to her but they also cut just as hard as they give. With her the acquisition of knowledge is one of her own core impulses and whats more what is learned is seldom ever unlearned. Curiosity could kill her in the search and she will search regardless, or it could drive her mad if she learns the wrong things.

Guest Star Redux - "xxxxx"
Phase Aspect: God is my Shepherd
Invoke: Perhaps its magic, perhaps its fate but Molly has been in a few tight spots and miraculously survived them where others haven't. The same plans which compel her to do good in the world also seem to push her in the right direction in the nick of time most of the time.
Compel: The way of the world and how God works in it is a mysterious thing; but not so mysterious is that He has a plan Molly, though the plan itself is a mystery. Call its as needed. Often this involves her being pulled almost at random out of instinct to certain locations.

Associates
Father Antonio Black
A gruff younger man, and Father Nicchi’s replacement, he barely tolerate Molly’s unorthodox presence at the Monastery and disagrees with her semi-official status as citizen of Vatican City. Despite this he understands the need for a supernatural heavy weight such as her and her ability to investigate and to a degree safeguard the church from further attacks. Regardless Father Black and Molly often butt heads and intellects in their debates especially in regard to Molly’s nonstandard theological ideals. When Molly was still a minor he acted as her trust fund manager and legal guardian following Nicchi death. He is still trying to grudgingly admit that Molly was not directly responsible for his friend’s death.

Veronica Sweet
With Molly as a silent partner in her Occult Bookshop, Sweet Café Books has managed to take off as a growing supernatural hotspot for younger minor talents and focused practitioners the hang out when most pubs would deny them access due to drink laws. Suffice it to say her own talents lie more in reading a book’s history than spellslinging.

Sylvanaria "Syl"
A spirit LIKE wyldfae; and a rather childlike being that could easily be confused for a five to ten year old girl of varying appearance except for the the bright gold eyes that she has. Often she'll take on the appearance of Molly herself at a younger age. Generally speaking she's used by Molly when she needs to make inquiries into the Nevernever or act as a guide through the neutral areas of the Ways. Occasionally Molly often bribes to girl with minor favors, expnesive food or other material goods for general help in regards to technology or lending a hand in various workings that may require an inhuman touch or perspective.

One mutual purpose they serve to each other, Molly provides the TV and a safe haven, Syl changes the channels.

Molly has never actually seen her in combat.

Frequent Haunts
Saint Uriel’s Archangel Monastery
New York City’s one of only two Monasteries, seated on the outskirts where it occupies are large section of land that has been carefully groomed for nearly half a century. Rumor has it that it contains number of lesser holy artifacts and books. Molly maintains her home in one of the guest quarters seated near Father Black’s own quarters. A number of the rare books that the monastery is rumored to have in fact belong to Molly.

Sweet Café Books
A book café with practically a small library’s worth of material. They offer a wide selection of coffee and teas which put many Corporate coffee shops to shame. However they’re main selling point is that its occult section is available to Black Card members for study and to copy. It’s from this that most of Molly’s remaining monetary has gone into funding and has in turn begun to pay and support her growing lifestyle.

Adversaries and Story Hooks
Muirenn
A Winter Court Sidhe of low ranking, and decidedly mortal interest, she was at one point attempting to acquire a portion of Sweet Café Books' ownership when Molly managed to snatch up control before she even had a chance to react. Ever since then the Sidhe woman has been attempting to wheel and deal Molly into giving it to her in 'fair' trade. With each failure the silver haired Sidhe seems to only be more encouraged and willing to find more devious means to convince Molly. She may also have other reasons as to why she wishes to acquire not only the café but Molly’s entire stash of books.

Hnsiinel
A name with apparently no origin other than the Hebrew, unfortunately the last clue to her past died with Marius and with it knowledge of her parents.

Themes and Threats
Court Survivor
Someone had to be responsible for the spawning of those fledglings all those years ago. Molly never did find the one who turned the members of the coven. Its only a matter of time before the Renfields start showing up.

The Betrayer
How did the Black Court find the late Father or his connection through Molly to the Warden Commander? Someone had that information and the mortal community is either extremely tightlipped or no one knew it existed… So who is responsible? The fledglings certainly didn’t give anything up before they were turned to motes of dust.

Climate Change
With the human induced weather phenomenon on the rise the Seelie and Unseelie courts are becoming increasingly agitated. Now wild sidhe courts and even some who aren’t even affiliated with them see it as an opportunity to make a bid for power and take over. With New York City as the growing hotspot of supernatural forces the local Nevernever has never been a tastier treat. Upheaval is on the rise. Is that a new leyline?

Aspect: Growing Unrest
The air in New York has been thick with anxiety for a long time now; however lately its been reaching a point where even mortal folk are getting a bit... twitchy.

Aspect: Tinged With Darkness
The shadows seem a bit darker and the light a bit dimmer. At night the entire world seems just plain bleak.

Venatori Umbrorum
We the White Council are indebted to the Venatori Umbrorum. As per stipulated in the contract that bound us together in arms during the war against the Red Court; we are willing to offer the assistance of the appointed Warden of New York City, one Molly McDougal. We will dispatch a parcel to your New York office in the New World which will contain instructions for the Warden as well as suitable attire for her station in serving the Venatori in the capacity you require, we may also be able to provide you with the assistance of another. Should you need any other assistance you may contact me as per the usual method.

Best of Hunting,
Arthur Langtry, the Merlin of the White Council

As you probably can see I go by the name of Darkarma. Long time fan of the Dresden Files and by extension of the author, Codex Alera. Currently this is my fourth attempt to get into a Dresden Files PnP game as the other three games either didn't accept me or died during creation process. Anyways plenty of roleplaying experience including building my own systems and the like.

Anyways the things I'm looking for I suppose would pretty much all of the Above, Mystery, Politics, Action, maybe some tragic Romance (but not just for romance sake) though a good mystery primarily as that's what Dresden Files is all about right? Well that and a well rounded magic system. One thing I don't care for seeing is that were just a crew out to save the world. Maybe save a few people, do what matter but nothing as grandiose or arrogant as being the only ones capable of saving this ball of mud we call earth. At least not without good reason and good build up.

Oh and Sidhe involvement in any story is always fun!

Hey, just a note - Charisma isn't a skill in this system. Did you mean to put in Rapport?

Er yes... how did that happen? Or perhaps Presence..

Remember that Presence will up your Social stress track, but that it's not often rolled.

Still odd that I stuck Charisma in there... *Glares at DnD* I blame you!

On a side note, I'm suddenly not liking my trouble... it seems a bit too cliche something of a copout.

Edit:
Alright changed out my trouble to something much more fun!

A thought on her trouble (or for an aspect) - she was raised in a religious setting. How did that affect her magic? Does the Vatican have different laws on magic than the White Council? Are the two organizations constantly using her as a pawn in their power struggles? It seems to me that something like "Church or Council?" would make an awesome aspect that's easily compelled and invoked.
