Sayuri

Sayuri has a uniquely wild look to her as if she were a willow that had found itself growing without a gardener to tend for it's supple limbs. It is an aesthetic that seems to work all too well for her as it draws attention to the comely lines of her face and snares people's attentions in the symmetry and care that has seemingly gone into the molding of her mortal coil. Sadly, this also brings attention to the feral amber eye that dominates the left of her face in counterpoint to the demure brown of her right eye. An important detail in her mien but hardly the only one as one notes a delicate nose over a mouth in delicate proportion with the rest of her outward appearance.

It all leaves the viewer with an impression of a pleasantly angular face always defined by a thoughtful little frown or a bright smile as the energies of youth show through in her less discreet moments. As if to complete that impression of youth her head is crowned by an flowing mane of hair that seems both unruly and ordered as it goes from the mane of a lion into a carefully managed double weave of a tail that falls to the small of her back and ends in a small weight of burnished bronze.

Her figure is little different from the impressions left by her countenance; in that she is supple and slender like the willow she seems to so take after. It's little surprise then when many see her dashing about on her various errands with an effortless grace and ease, let alone the surprising endurance that her life has seemingly endowed her with.

Sayuri was born in Toshi Ranbo and eventually left that place to seek her fortunes and future elsewhere.

In her time working for the various temples of the city, it's become known that she's rather fond of painting and quiet artistic pursuit despite her noted skill with tessen and katana.

Several of the City's more superstitious magistrates and yoriki choose to keep an eye on her due to her evil eye, expecting disaster to follow her throughout her stay in the City of Lies.

The ronin known as Mokusatsu is particularly protective of her. The reasons for it aren't particularly clear but there is plenty of hearsay.

Setsu Oto is seemingly rather enamored of her... and depending on who you ask the affection might be reciprocal.
