Destiny's Rest

~ Destiny's Rest - Engine room ~

As the two grease monkeys is working on the last finishing touches of the generator Zeth takes a step back and contemplates over the situation. He had heard the distress call from Cyrian, due to his decision to use his personal earlink rather than the one inserted in the cooperate helmet, but he hadn't heard the respond and not knowing worried him a bit, he hadn't expected the others to be back so soon. His thoughts flot away for a bit and keeping his concentration on the work was hard but he did his best to remember if there was anything else that needed to be done for the fusion reactor to work.

Cid sets out immediately as instructed and per the programming, taking out and setting up the sled. Then Cid goes over to Shelkar and looks over his work. "You show a lot of promise in the medical field. Especially being limited with only two appendages." One of the many drawbacks to being humanoid, but Cid couldn't discount them for it - it's not like many of them had the ability to get more limbs and be efficient with their use.

Cid thought for a few moments about suggesting they go to his previous owners ship, but it could be difficult to send the message needed with so many in the makeshift medical bay. "Cali should be sent to the cafeteria for additional medical watch as she heals." Cid began stating the obvious and waited for two volunteers to help place her carefully on the sled and transport her to the Cafeteria.

Looking at the woman” I could bring you back to the cafeteria but im sure you will leave again as I turn my back” he wait a few seconds thinking

“well if you insist I will accompany you, the Rest isn’t safe and it may be the last thing I do, better it be a nice thing” he stand next to Rowan helping her “ what are we looking for?” say while walking away from the cafeteria

Rowan Storm - Female Human Jedi

~ Destiny's Rest - The Cafeteria ~

With Jack's help, Rowan gets up. "You bet I would." She replies and smiles upon hearing the soldier's words but she evades his question nonetheless. "I just need to get to that room. I think I've got a medpac somewhere there too, so I won't need to occupy a bed, really." It's utter rubbish and that's apparent to someone who's been in the field long enough but as he already realized there is no way to stop her.

Slowly, they make their way towards the living quarters of the Rest's crew. Upon arrival Rowan punches in the door code and as it slides to the side, she turns towards the loyal ex-soldier. She had always respected the man. Sure, he was a little rough and way too strict most of the time but she could imagine what he had seen on the battlefield. It is probably good that he is with her but regardless, what she needs to do, she needs to do alone.

With a sigh, the waitress turns towards her protector. "I'll be fine from here on. Thank you very much. I reckon you should get back to the cafeteria before those guys you brought in cause any more trouble? They didn't look very agreeable."

Destiny's Rest - Power Generator

Kal steps back from the terminal and lets out a sigh, "Alright, Lets see what we can do about finishing up this repair job". As Kal picks up a wrench and returns to the job an almost unreal presence manifests itself around him as the fool hearty nature with which he was previously working melts away and he not only fastens down everything correctly, but with remarkable speed as well.

Stepping back from the engine he turns towards Zeth and with a smile says "Sorry about earlier, guess the incident at the docking had me rattled, and thanks for showing up when you did. Marty and I couldn't've done it without you". He extends his robot hand for a split second before retracting it, and after using the cloth from his face to clean his real hand, extends his fur covered mitt to shake Zeth's hand.

Ranas Kae - Head of Security

"Good, so we are ready to move the young lady, are we not?" The head of security enquires before looking at the also quite young pilot. "You alright, boy?" He asks. The little one seems slightly pale.

Marty McRae - Chief Technician

Marty raises his hand and makes fist. "So great! You did it. Kal, Zeth, you did it! We got it. Safe. We're safe again." He flashes a broad grin. "Man, that was just too much for me alone. You both did great. No doubt about that. Thanks so much." He then looks at the generator again and creases being to show on his forehead.

"Kal, you know how I told you these weren't just ion grenades? I mean look at the damage. They didn't just disable it. But I'm wondering - who would use both? I mean the damage that the ion grenades did was bad enough but it wouldn't have damaged the core like this. That was something else. Probably a frag or something. But why would someone use both? Besides, from what I've gathered they must've been placed at entirely different locations to have that kind of result. Almost as if not having been placed by the same person. Weird, isn't it?"

Marty

The two of you can do different things. It's 5 successes in 7 rounds for the two of you. You can try to calm Marty down (persuasion) so that he may work more efficiently, you can try your own luck at the generator (mechanics), you can also try to get the automated containment system working again (use computer), see if you can find a lost part (perception), find a work around to buy more time (knowledge technology) or help Marty with your knowledge about fusion reactions (knowledge physical sciences).

YOU WIN

"No problem boy, we all have our moments." Zeth shakes the cat's hand not sure what he had meant, but it had indeed been a busy day and things began to turn fuzzy.

Listening to what the mechanic had to say Zeth then replied,
"I wouldn't say weird at all. Ion grenades has a clear purpose of disabling nearby electronic devices while the damaging effect of the frags is to create a more demanding and time-consuming repair giving the saboteur more time to act. The reason why you wouldn't want to place them in the same spot is simply that in case of premature activation of either grenade you don't risk them to cancel the other." Zeth talks about this with what seems to be great knowledge for a daredevil pilot. "But if that's all I think I will go check on the incoming fighter." he looks questioning at the two and if there are no further inquiry he excuses himself.

Shalkar - Station Doctor of Marko & Family

Application Post

Shalkar ignored Cid's remark about his medical skills. "Just help me get her onto the sled or get out of my way droid." He moved to carry Cali out of the fighter and with the others help onto the repulsorlift and strapped down. Once she was secure he checked her vitals and began to move the repulsorlift towards the cafeteria. "Bring the other pilot please Ranas. I want to do a brief assessment of his cognitive functions before he returns to battle. He doesn't look well but he can walk so please guide him along."
