The character roster hasn't been officially selected yet so I don't think about group positions my character will have until then. Also there being a "Leader" makes some sort of sense with this being a military operation and all that, but because of that it would come down to rank. Which is based off of our levels, so more than likely it would be a shared leadership position between the higher levels and the lower ones the subordinates.

Aside from all that just checking in here making sure that Ascendant knows I'm still interested.

Actually...Rank isn't usually based on Level, especially in FR. You're quite often born into Rank, or you're just plain more liked. I'd also be willing to bet that since this is Cormyrian, Humans would be most likely to have the real Ranks.

According to Ascendant our ranks are based on level.

The Level dependent titles are ranks according to the accompanying links. So I take that to mean that those who start at higher level are higher ranks, I could be taking that wrong however.

For more clarification, when I say ranks I don't mean Nobility. I mean military ranks, a Title and authority that is earned not born into.

Thats fixed. These are being asigned by the DM. Which is why they are mentioned. Yes there is is Set structure for level interaction but that just leaves the room for any DM to assign the ranks to levels if he chooses, which as Quoted above Ascendant has.

I guess in the end it all depends on what the Boss wants to do. He probably won't know till he has the final Character List.
