Sword Art, an MMO gone wrong
Sword Art Online - Forum Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e Estimated Members Requested: 9 Congratulations, you are one of 10,000 people who were able to buy the hot new game, Sword Art Online on it's release day. What you are about to experience is a fully immersive world, the likes of which you've never seen before. You are your avatar as you explore the amazingly crafted world of Aincrad. Can you be the first to clear all 100 levels of the massive World Dungeon?
You'll have to, if you're to ever dream of logging out of the game. For you see, if you die within Sword Art Online, you die in the real world as well. This game is very much a sandbox. It is a Free, Open world campaign where players dictate a great deal of their own story Game Description:
In the year 2022, the Virtual reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) Sword Art Online (SAO) is released. With the Nerve Gear, a VR Helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds. But an unexpected event occurs on November 6, 2022 when Akihiko Kayaba, the creator of SAO, prevents the players from logging out. Akihiko issues them a challenge; if they wish to be free and log out of the game, they must reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if their avatars die in the game, so will their bodies in the real world. Last edited by steampunkadept; Sep 7 '12 at 2:57am.. |
