Character Revisions

Dude. We stopped. My last four posts were solely for the GM in order to get this darned character finished. I even private messaged him with an apology and we're over it. Where the hell did that come from?

Secondly, you would scrap a game idea for ALL players because a couple of people bicker a bit? Doesn't that seem a bit... hasty? I mean, if two people don't see eye to eye, then that makes for a great RP experience.

Thirdly, is your list all you are going to allow? Because I keep listing a few other options and you haven't commented on them whatsoever, such as the flying thing.

Finally, if you didn't want this to turn into work, then you should have said "Be humans" or even "You may use this many points to modify your race, but that's it". I kept asking for things that made sense, and you haven't told me where the limitation is yet.

To summarize: We aren't fighting anymore, don't be so quick to drop your game, are you going to consider my other requests, and can you please put a limitation on the race building so we can make final decisions about the character and move on to the game itself.

yes i would scrap this game idea for all players because i have 2 other games i want to run with players i know wont bicker in the forums. and that came from me wanting to make sure i have all my players on the same page. and yes, two people not seeing eye to eye does promote RP but what you two were doing was just arguing which doesn't help gameplay at all and none of it actually do with your characters it was all personal.

building the race isn't whats making this 'work' like. dealing with two people arguing over a game that i want to run is what the problem was. so its good that you two have stopped. end of story.

there is nothing wrong with having flight. you were posting incorrect math for the base build i posted and thought that my math was wrong. instead of just piling onto wrong stats i need you to understand where the numbers are coming from.

do you get it now?

Beef buried, I'm in

Much Love

Also I would love to help if needed just ask

I get it now. So, can I add you your elegantly crafted list as long as I balance it, or is that list the end-all-be-all?

Also, I said that my math was off earlier and not yours. Didn't you see that? I wasn't trying to cheat you, man. I was getting something wrong, and I admitted that.

Tell you what. I'll compile everything we've discussed into a table to the best of my ability. Then you tell me if that works for you.

I have a Spanish speaking buddy of mine that cringes whenever I say "Muchos Luv-o". I know it's wrong, but it's so funny to see his reaction! :P

so i can't see blood thirsty and cautious going together, maybe you can explain that choice. also i can't see a toughness debuff, you are covered in metal scales. that being said you only need another -1 since you beging with a free +2 racial ability as per the 3rd paragraph in the making races section. what i would suggest is dropping the racial enemy -1 and adding a more involved -2 version that is similar to the enemy major hinderance.

Cautious in the way I approach a situation, Bloodthirsty in my response. Consider it this way: I over-analyze things, wanting every advantage in combat or otherwise. But when the conflict is over, I take no prisoners. The loser deserves to die and the winner deserves the glory.

If you add cautious into that list above, then I'm good with that. I was thinking the loss in toughness because my race has scales, but they rely on that alone to protect them. That would make them have a slightly lower damage threshold, noted by the loss in toughness.

BUT I like the list you have going above. So, if you agree with my Cautious/Bloodthirsty mentality, then I'll go that route. If you still disagree with my logic, then I'll take up the Enemy 2 Hindrance.

Sounds like we're about done!

yea i see cautious as more of a personal hinderance not a racial one.

as for the enemy 2 hinderance, mechanically it wont be the actually hinderance from the book. it would would work like so. When dealing with full blooded dragons you are at a -4 charisma. Also there are dragons that look to purge the impure half breeds. As such some dragons will be more interested in out right attacking you.
