As the party navigates the ancient passages of the catacombs, most of you notice a decrease in small vermin and an increase in cobwebs as you pass through the tunnel... but not all of you notice the giant spider hiding in one of the 10-foot-wide side tunnels, about to springs its attack. Duke whoofs, just before the creature comes out hissing and looking for a snack!

With half of Oppara between he and the spider, Kujo couldn't do much besides try to remember what he could about spiders and pull out his potion of antitixon and continue to keep an eye out for other spiders. Kujo cries out a warning to the others

bites ineptly at Duke. The Dog sidesteps, growling for all he's worth!

The Sarenites finally see the cause of consternation. Shouts and screams sound, all of them pushing back and away from the creature, leaving more room for the Pathfinders to work!

With the population of Oppara clearing the tunnel, Kujo advances. His long strides closing the distance in seconds. As there is only one spider, perhaps Kujo figures there is no point in wasting his anti-toxin and he drops it.(in the soft dirt). With two hands, Kujo swings down on the spider. Kujo connects but his blade is slightly off the mark and the spider clings to life....barely.

Before anyone really has a chance to act, Kujo rushes forward, slicing the spider nearly in twain, only to be finished off by Leena's spell. It dies with a hiss and rattle, ichor spraying out onto the walls and anyone near...

Kujo turns to Leena and offers her a wink. Or maybe that was just spider blood that caught him in the eye. The bards will argue for centuries about how it really happened. Kujo, obviously not concerned with his legacy, picks up his antitoxin and puts it away. He then looks to see whence the spider came and if the spider's web might be hiding any
