Characters are made using a twenty(20) points Attribute spread rather than the twenty-five(25) points. This might seem to be little low, but the heroes of this story won't be as trained as the usual bunch of misfits that go out adventuring. They also start with only half the number of skill points listed for their class.
a small list of possible spreads
- 10, 4, 3, 3
- 5, 5, 5, 5
- 7, 5 ,5, 3
- 8, 6, 3, 3
No character may begin the game with an animal companion or special vehicle, those are gained in game either by being crafted, tamed, bought or quest rewards. Any animal companion or special vehicle that are gained via crafting, taming, purchace or completion of quests will be premade(with the exception of crafting, as the player would be making it to their specifications) and do not count toward your number of abilities per level.
Each player gains a bonus Destiny Point for having a Quote for their character and one for having a sufficiently good background (3+ paragraphes). The player may spend one of their destiny points to increase their number of starting skill points to their full amount or spend both to gain the full twenty-five(25) attribute spread. The player may also save them for use later.
Each player starts with a 5 point limit break.
Character Applications are required to have the following things
Name, Age, Gender, Race, Description(A picture may do fine), a background, their personality, a quote and a list of people important to them and atleast 1 rival.
Characters can be of any age. They could be a ten(10) year old child monk, to a thirty(30) year old warrior that's a member of the malitia to a sixty(60) year old wise sage(red mages with time magic, fun times!). The characters are starting in the small town of Ur, the most common races here are Hume, Dwarves and moogles, but the rare viera, mithra and Lalafell can be found in town. If you are a Viera, Mithra or Lalafell you'll be one of six(6) or so of your kind that can be found in your town(meaning it would be nigh impossible for a male Mithra to leave). Any other player races are considered nothing more than legend.
Applicants are not required to have a sheet finished until after the applicants are picked. But it would be handy if they are.
Applications go in their own thread in this theadgroup.
EDIT!: I should most likely mention that we are using this version of FFd6.
