Pius Fidelus: Rules
Pius Fidelus: Convert the World
This game is Pius Fidelus: Convert the World. In short, each player is an Immortal with divine powers who can exert their influence over the world on the Inner Plane using their Avatar. There, they can use the power of worship and followers to gain power in the world. The Immortals reside on the Outer Plane, where they can interact with each other. This world has five species, which will be played by the five GM’s of this game. They will develop and evolve during the course of the game, starting off at a low development level, eventually being able to become a great civilization. How this civilizations turn out can be greatly influenced by the mighty powers of the Immortals who descend down upon the world.
Pius Fidelus will be played out on these forums. There will be an IC thread for the world where the species act and the Immortals can interact with the species through their Avatars. There will also be an IC thread for the Outer Plane, where the Immortals reside.
We use the Evolution 3 rules, but with certain changes. The Evolution 3 Immortal rules can be found at: http://evo3.dimensionomega.com/content/view/6/3
The two main adjustments to that ruleset are the miracles and essence categoires. The Miracles will be handled with a more defined rule set explained later. The Essence categories mentioned on the site are reduced to three categories: Mysticism, Artefact Crafting and Avatar.
The GM’s/Species of this game are:
Note that during the game there will be turns. Each turn lasts three real life days. Turns serve the following purpose. After a turn has elapsed, species will develop further and their status posts in the species status thread will be updated. Immortals will be notified of increased power. An Immortal can do (only) one of the following things on the Outer Plane each turn:
During the game, we would also like for you to state what artifact or miracle you research in the next turn, so we have more time to comment on it. Do this in the OOC thread, through PM’s with a GM, but not in the IC thread.
Further, while we will have 10 levels of miracles as on the site, we will not use their power level. We will use a more defined power level per miracle level and a more efficient means to derive what level a miracle is. We will state what the modifiers are as more miracle levels are reached. Remember that a miracle must be related to either your major or minor domain. (And must be related to major domain at miracle level 6 and above.) The way we use it is defined within the following spoiler. Examples can be found in the Immortal Status Thread, with other Immortals.
In the game, we would also like an indication of when during the turn your Immortal does something at the start of your post. Ideally, you state in which tenth of a turn your Immortal states something, but it can be more vague (beginning, middle or end of the turn). This is to define what happens when and allows you to play out several periods in the turn at once. You can only manifest your Avatar once, so your Immortal can not be at two places at once. However, you can state you visit one species the first tenth of a turn and another species at the fifth tenth of a turn, allowing you to play out both visits at once, though at different times. Tenths of turns are not related to real life time. This means that while a turn ends after two real life days, a tenth of a turn has no related real life time. You can just play out actions of your Immortal for later or earlier tenths of a turn, though not for any earlier or later turns.
