Converting Farland Magic Items

I think the power could use a boost actually. I would say dominate save ends rather than end of your next turn; mostly because our comparison, Ghostly Defense, holds an encounter power in it that is much more viable and fairly potent itself.

Perhaps a statement saying you can't use this power with other powers?

How about changing the duration to "save ends"?

Possibly too strong. Dominate is great as it is, and a dominate save ends seems like a high level daily power[not just item] to me.

You could change the action type to minor or move instead of standard. Or you could make it a free action when someone takes fire damage[or something].

I like the idea of it being an immediate reaction...that could be cool.

It would have to either grant the creature another action, or be a save ends in that case. Otherwise this is going to happen

Enemy 1 attacks player 1 /w std action
Player 1 interrupts/reacts to enemy 1, dominates enemy
Enemy 1 is out of actions on his turn, initiative continues
Player 1 takes his turn, end of his turn, the dominate ends.



Just flat out making it a save ends is probably a better idea.

Make it an interupt then?

Enemy 1 attacks player 1;
Player 2 dominates enemy 1 shifting the attack to another nearby creature;
enemy regains control of self at the end of their turn?

Just make it a reaction that ends on the monster's next turn. Exactly one round of CA granted, plus exactly one action.

I lost the thread, since people's statements are building off of each other, while some statements have been rejected or ignored. Sith, what do you see the final write-up looking like?

Interrupt rules as i read them would just nullify the attack, and not let you use it in another way.
