A spire is a tapering conical or pyramidal structure on the top of a building. I said rocky, because they are made of rock and stone. And submarine, because they are underwater. And a forest, because there are many of them. In my vision, their houses are conical towers, perhaps 20 to 30 feet large at the base but hundreds of feet high.
