Israeli Merkava, MBT with a cargo space. Some have been converted into heavy APCs - a technology about 70 years overdue, IMO! The tank itself is very good.

World war 1 vintage - yes, a carrier pidgeon. These were the days before vehicle radios, folks!

Wow... Makes sense about the pigeon, but I'd never really thought about it!

On a side note, I couldn't help but laugh at all the incarnations of "tank"...
