[Game Explanation]

This will take place during the events of D-Day.I will be using house-rules made by Shirocco.I hope for this to go well, and am partially adding some of my own things to the rules. Please feel free to ask any questions.

[Application Process]
Name:
Age:
Gender:Rewriting history a bit,if I remember from my classes correctly females didn't play so much of a part when it came to the front lines during WW2,but I will allow them here.
Brief Background:
Brief Description:

[Character Creation]

Unknown at Present.More will be coming for this.

For harder shots, like say a man behind cover, use a bigger dice - D6, 5 to wound 6 to kill.

You can make different weapons very easily by varying their shots per turn.

Examples:

Bolt-action rifle. 1 shot per turn.

Sub Machine Gun. 3 shots per turn.

Machine gun. 3 shots per turn.

Then i came up with the shotdie principle. +1shotdie means increase the dice size by 1. Like D3 becomes D4.

Say the SMG point blank (zeroed range) is 20m. It can shoot out to 40m at +1shotdie, or out to 60 at +2shotdie. So a D3 target 50m away is a D6 shot for it.

The machine gun is zeroed for maybe 400m, so shooting a D3 at 50m the shot remains a D3. Thus, we've modelled it's range advantage.

Sure, i'm interested.

If you're going to use WW2 Americans then you'll need to model the Garand. It was semi-auto, using a clever clip ejector and a small magazine of .30-06 rounds. One of the more advanced rifles in the war.

Example: Semi Auto Rifle. 2 shots per turn. Zeroed range 300m.

Having said that i'll probably go with a tommy gunner (SMG, Soldier) from Cicago or something; detailed character backgrounds might be a waste of time in Omaha, lol

Can I be a sniper?

Definitely interested.

For roles (order of preference):
1) Medic
2) Squad Leader
3) Assault Trooper (SMGer)

As Shirocco said... let's do some storming of Omaha before we come up with detailed backgrounds. :P

Most certainly.I'll have some special rules for you soon.Currently,My location is lucky enough to have internet...

Most certainly interested.

Probably going to go with an engineer. I'm with the guys above me, it would suck to put effort into creating a character only to have him die right after he hits the beach. Also, how do shotguns work in this system, with the whole spray effect.

Hell Yeah!

Even though Modern Warfare dictates that we should get an automatic weapon and fire blindly to randomly hit enemies in order to maximize the chance of dealing enemy casualties, I am above that for I am a Specialist!

One Shot, One kill.

Name: Miles
Age: 18 (aka "Just Enlisted")
Gender: M
Brief Background: He lives in Pennsylvania.
Brief Description: GI (no, not Joe.)
Role/Class: Soldier

Interested!

I'm thinking a Specialist (Demolitions).

or perhaps Specialist (Anti-Tank)

Perhaps a combination of the two?

Would that count as an Engineer? I would think not because fixing things would be very, very, low on the priority list for this guy.

EDIT:

Name: Paul Hario Jr.
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Brief Background: Born in Lowell, Massachusetts. Joined the Army as part of a legacy. All the men in his family had served in the Army in one way or another. Except his Father, Paul Hario Sr, who was in the Navy during WWI.
Brief Description: A short stocky man, Paul stands at roughly 5' 6". With jet black hair and brown eyes, Paul isn't going to intimidate anyone anytime soon. However his mental status is another matter entirely. Almost failing a Psych evaluation, Paul Jr. doesn't have a very good standing with the laws of reality and what some say is normal. Regardless, his ingenuity and intellect have pulled him through life and into the spot light as a Demolitions and Munitions expert. While he's not the best shot, he is determined to the last and refuses to ever give up in any pursuit.

Combat Engineers know how to create impromptu explosives, and destroys structures and military equipment
