Chapter 4b - Spelunking

Garak launches into an attack at the angry orc, recognizing him as the bigger threat. With his dagger of venom in one hand and the pikeman's ally dagger in the other, the assassin

lunges at his opponent from the shadows.

Tamrik sees the ruse is up, and launches into his attack, hoping both weapons find their places and silence the orcs before the alarm has been truly sounded.

With their prey walking directly into their grasp, Garak and Tamrik strike from the shadows, hoping to catch the Orcs before they can mount an offensive. While Tamrik is quickest on the draw, his poor concealment prevents him from landing a strike on the cowardly Orc, who just barely manages to dodge his dancing blades.
Garak, however, has more luck with the other Orc, too busy trying to kill his companion that he doesn't see the rogue until it is too late, a pair of

blades already wedged into his torso. Turning around in incredible pain, he somehow manages to lash out with his own sword,

catching the tricky rogue as he dances back away.
Seeing all this go down, and somehow managing to stay alive through Tamrik's attack, the cowardly Orc turns and runs, making a beeline for the tunnel exit...

Tamrik gets an Attack of Opportunity on the fleeing Orc, should he choose to make one. After that, both can post actions for the next round.
DM OOC

Garak was not one for being comfortable in a toe to toe fight, however being hilt deep into the orc with two magical daggers, he felt somewhat comfortable that the creature's life was near an end. With a twist and a violent pull, Garak attempts to do even more damage as he

viciously removes the blades from the torso of his opponent.

Tamrik, seeing the orc try to flee, lashes out again, trying desperately to silence the orc before too much noise has been made.

Gutting the Orc from the inside out, Garak quickly wipes his daggers on the falling Orc's tunic. Looking up, he sees only the backside of the fleeing Orc, who

With every ounce of energy remaining in his body, the creature bolts to the right, heading directly for the outside...

"Take this body and bring it outside so it can be hidden. The other orc is mine." His words were low and full of venom.

With that, the assassin charges after the fleeing orc, hoping to catch it long before it could find any others of its kind. Garak ran with all the speed he could muster, being cautious of his surroundings only in the event he should have to near the cave entrance again.

Tamrik went pick up the body of the dead orc, and bring him outside to be hidden. He watches Garak chase the fleeing orc, knowing it was only a matter of time before he caught the frightened thing. As he adjusted the body to pick it up, he

searched the body for anything useful, coins, weapons, anything.

Though the Orc's headstart allows it to put distance between himself and the two strangers, Garak's speed allows the rogue a shot at catching the quick Orc. Gaining on the Orc with every step, Garak follows as the Orc nears the exit to the cave, and finds himself moments from catching the creature, who slows down slightly at the edge of the tunnel, glancing back to see if the chase was still on...
Back inside, Tamrik does as he's told and drags the corpse after the two runners, leaving a trail of sticky blood all along the floor of the tunnel. Though he
The first item you note is his blade, a small sword caked in dirt and grime. An inscription has been etched into its hilt, though it is otherwise unremarkable.
The creature's armor is next, a thick layering of hide interwoven with leather, the odd combination quite thick and sturdy. As dirty as the Orc was, the armor's cleanliness surprises you, as each strip of leather and patch of hide is nearly spotless, the occasional metal bands and rivets polished to a shine. Above all, the armor feels surprisingly light, considering its design and construction...
An extra blade lies tucked into the Orc's belt, this one a small traditional dagger, a crude brown sap alongside it. A quick rummage through the Orc's pockets reveals naught but a few coppers, some hard crusts of bread, and a few other foul items, whose use or design you cannot hope to imagine.
relieves it of a few possessions before doing so, that barely lessens the load, nor can it combat the Orc's fierce stench, more powerful now in death than it ever could have been otherwise.

Tamrik's path to the outside takes him right after Garak and the Orc, though by the time he finishes looting the corpse and stripping it of weapons and armor, they're long gone.
