Word War & Progress Reports [NaNoWriMo2009]

I struggled with it tonight, but I managed to break 10k before deciding I needed to get some sleep.

That looks pretty stressful, so I really hope I can stay at the #2 LOL.

Or take over #1 by writing one milllliion words in a day.

News Flash, Annalia is still insane. 92k and counting. Very much on track for a quadruple NaNo, which boggles my mind.

Top 5
Wonder Woman: 34,022
Get_in_my_Belly: 24,473
Nighteyes5678: 20,344
Asterisk: 20,141
Josef Wilhelm: 19,002

Moral Wiz, who started strong but who hasn't updated his word count for quite some time, has finally dropped off the top five.

Karayan is in striking distance of target at 17k.

I see that Agricolus has updated his word count. He's about 4k shy of NaNo goals, but I happen to know that he can sneeze out 4k without much fuss.

I think Shannon is still slightly ahead of Agri, at around 16.5k, but she hasn't updated her word count.

Syndl is 10k behind, but is really picking up steam. I think I saw Kerrz's numbers go up. Happy to see he's still in there.

The rest of you... WRITE, DAMMIT!!!

Just going for a run (which in itself seems to be a strange by-product of NaNoWriMo) and then I shall write a tremendous amount. I'm really feeling it today...

Yesterday, I worked until 8pm to clear my schedule today. I may actually have an uninterrupted few hours.

<rubs hands together in GLEE>

And yes - I'm at 16.5k but I haven't updated the word count - but I'll get on that.

I'm telling you WW. By the end of November 15th, I'll be back on track, and with momentum like that (it'll take three 5000 word days back to back) I could very well be challenging for some spots on the top five soon enough.

Or I could burn out. I'll probably burn out.

I'm going to try to hit those numbers too, Kerrz. I really wanted to do a double NaNo this year, and that would put me just about back on track. Saturdays are not good writing days for me due to my gaming schedule, but I am thinking about going to a write-in in the morning.

Today is going really slow, but my daughter's spending the night at my mom's. I might be able to pull a 5k day if I can stay awake that long. Wish I'd gotten more than 4 hours of sleep last night.

But it makes me cry on the inside!

...Actually I'm enjoying this quite a bit even if I know my husband is totally going to beat me as soon as he stops getting distracted by reading Robin Hobb...*sigh*

Yeah, I was really, really stupid and decided to start reading Robin Hobb's new trilogy during NaNo. In the last week, I've read 2100 pages of pure awesome. Now, I'm so convinced that I'll never match her in literary grace, I don't know how much I'm going to manage to write. *sighs*

So good... so much better than me...
