The arrival of
Herr Dokter is accompanied by much cursing in German, with a few Russian epithets thrown in for variety.
Name: Dr. Klaus von Braun
Nationality: German
Rank: Civilian
Klaus is 186 cm tall (six feet one inch) and 79 kg (174 pounds) on a svelte frame - he is built more like a runner than a fighter. He has blond hair and blue eyes, and is left handed. His clothes tend to be form fitting, and is somewhat fastidious in his appearance, and has a distaste for slovenliness.
A picture for Klaus would look something like this:

Pre-Stargate program occupational history
Researcher, M.I.T.
Researcher, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Background:
Klaus von Braun was born on the outskirts of Munich, Germany to a lower-income family. Despite his disadvantaged upbringing he graduated at the top of his class, earning himself a full scholarship to Hamburg University where he went on to earn a graduate degrees at the preeminent technological universities on the planet. Von Braun specializes primarily in relativistic and hyper-relativistic mechanics and theoretical astrophysics. His doctoral thesis on hyper-relativistic engine design brought him to the attention of the Stargate program as his designs closely matched established hyperspace engines currently in use in the Daedalus -class - yet Klaus had made the conclusions with no knowledge of the Stargate program. Based on this work, he was invited to join DARPA, where he was given three projects to further evaluate his potential for use in off-world activities.
He passed with flying colors.
At DARPA, he pioneered work on efficiencies in 'theoretical' sub-light drive design (at least he thought is was all theory), contributed to efforts at designing the newest upgrades to sensor technologies (with the Hammond being the first ship to receive this enhanced sensor suite), and as the piece de resistance , managed to solve a problem that had stymied Col. Samantha Carter, namely an energy weapon that used purely Earth technology that was of equivalent power to Goa'uld ship-based weaponry - not quite up to par with Asgard weaponry, but certainly a giant leap ahead for pure Earth-tech.
Within the week of his completion of this project, Klaus was 'invited' (he would say 'drafted') to join the Stargate program, and assigned to the George Hammond . On its shakedown cruise, he was assigned to engineering and was apprenticed to the human chief engineer and the Asgard to learn as much as possible about the systems that will allow the human race to inherit the Milky Way galaxy.

In accordance with regulations, all articles brought on board interstellar craft must be catalogued and recorded. The below list are the noteworthy items belonging to Dr. von Braun:
Complete digital recordings of Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, the Beatles, the Who, Rolling Stones, Benny Goodman (kept on external drive and on both PDAs)
Complete digital versions of all scientific texts published in the last hundred years (kept on external drive and on both PDAs)
Reference books (electronic and paper) outlining Ancient and Asgard tech (I don't intend for these to give away all the answers, but it could give me a hint or assist with issues)
Asgard and Ancient translation manuals (electronic and paper)
