Ability Scores

The Change: Ability scores are essentially listed as their modifier.
The Reason: If you're keeping track of 6 ability scores for 10 or more members, single-digit numbers are much easier to keep track of than two-digit numbers and a derived value.

Improving Ability Scores: Ability scores are no longer improved at 4th level. Instead they are improved by use. Individual ability scores have their own improval [sic] mechanisms.

Strength

Applies To: Melee attack, melee damage, carrying capacity
+1 per point of damage inflicted in melee combat
+3 for a medium load carried 1 mile
+5 for a heavy load carried 1 mile

Dexterity

Applies To: Ranged attack, Reflex saves
+3 per attack that hits in ranged combat
+2 per attack successfully dodged
+4 per other Reflex save made

Constitution

Applies To: Wound points, Fortitude saves
+1 per point of damage taken
+5 for taking 10 or more points of damage in one attack and surviving
+3 per Fortitude save made

Intelligence

Applies To: Skill dots
+3 for every successful skill check

Wisdom

Applies To: Morale, Will saves
+4 per Will save made
+1 per cantrip successfully cast
+2 per charm successfully cast
+3 per invocation successfully cast
+4 per ritual successfully cast

Leadership

Applies To: Allies' morale

Luck

Applies To: Small bonus to everything
