Planeswalker
From Myth-Wiki
In this rules modification of the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 system, PCs will play as planeswalkers akin to those from the Magic the Gathering card game setting. Although the cannon establishes the destruction of the powerfuly shapeshifting planeswalkers and introduces the relatively weaker 'neowalkers' in their place, this variant will establishes rules for playing planeswalkers as they used to be.
Playing As Planeswalkers
To start off, it should be said that this variant is of a very high powered nature. I have made no attempt to balance the planeswalker template for standard play because anything of its kind warrants a game of its own. The system exclusively uses psionics over Vancian (prepared spell) casting of any kind. Players will gain the planeswalker template and create a stripped class advancement template for the purpose of score/save/skill advancement and a few other things. In addition to this class template, characters will gain bonus feats and power points. DMs should make an effort to replicate desired class features through these bonus feats, or work with players to create new ones. This approach to eliminating traditional classes was taken in order to simplify the game as well as put under more direct DM control exactly what material players bring to the table.
Much of the material used in this game is fairly modular- one can, for instance, use the feats or skills system within their normal Dnd 3.5 game, or use class templates rather than use the premade classes. Keep in mind that much of this lack of material (freedom I like to call it) will require close and careful DM scrutiny, and is perhaps best used in a solo game, where things are easily managed and DMs are literally one on one with players.

Running a Planeswalker Game
As of posting, this system has not been used (to my knowledge). In their current form, the rules here exist as more a set of guidelines than a hard and fast system. Nevertheless, I, (username Devigod), plan on running a game based on the system on Myth-Weavers. Other DMs may feel free to borrow or ask me for what advice I can offer for the game. Feel free to share any of your own experiences with any of the material and note that it is experimental, and the planeswalker template is not meant to be used in a standard game.
