Geography
Thallos is a walled city in a roughly circular shape. It consists of five large districts, separated by main roads:
The Stand
A largely defensive-military complex, the Stand is the military heart of Thallos. In addition to housing most of its militia troops and command posts, the Stand also contains a larger chunk of the within-city farming and granaries. The Stand is called that largely because it is supposed to be the final holdout in the event of conquest--if the rest of the city is invaded, Thallosians hope to be able to hold out there for years.
The Warrens
A large, densely populated center, home to Thallos' "Shadetown" and "Feytown." Everything from taverns to rowhouses, to more slumlike neighborhoods--The Warrens have it all. In general, the residents are lower middle class and below, though a few rich merchants who have come up from humble beginnings still make their homes here.
Guildsman Row
Where major trade happens. There are shops all over the city, but the men that own the shops, or wholesale the goods, or provide the raw materials all live and work here. It's split largely between workers who ship and prepare the goods, and rich guildsmen who own them
The Estates
The former houses of the Hyram governor and his associates, these ornate homes now house the nobles of Thallos, who run one house local governing body.
East Fanes
Similarly to Guildsman Row, there are temples all over Thallos, but the High Priests all live in the East Fanes. The grandest temples (often finances by residents of The Estates) are here, and the businesses cater to the more devout and the occasional pilgrim who comes to visit the larger temple complexes.
