Officers of the Thirteenth
Battle-Captain Auron Redeye
Auron is a gruff, truth-to-power Dragonborn whose genius lies in two areas: killing people with his signature fullblade, and inspiring other people to similar heights of prowess and skill. Though he is not a tactical genius, he is a phenomenal master of delegating. His nickname comes from a region around his left eye that was severely damaged in battle, and the scales were stripped away. Though Auron is a gold-scaled dragonborn, the scales that grew back around his eye were blood red. No one knows what Auron is fleeing--or whether he is even still fleeing it--but more recently he is known for how he took over the Thirteenth: The previous commander, seven years back, was a scheming half-elf who double-timed on contracts, deliberately losing a few battles in order to collect payment from two sources at once. Auron challenged him to single combat for tarnishing the honor of the legion, and lopped off the half-elf's head with one well-placed strike.
Lieutenant Rashanna Frostmonger
Her nickname is earned by her cold-burning rages, during which she appears calm, quiet, composed, and altogether deadly. Though she suddenly shrugs off deep wounds or does ridiculous amounts of damage to her enemies, she makes hardly a sound, barking quick orders and inspiring those under her command to heights of superhuman heroism.
Sergeant Ausrik, "Prettyboy"
While he has the features of a noble, delicate Drow, he swears a blue streak and talks like a street rat straight out of the slums. Legend among the men has it that he was the illegitimate son of a high-ranking drow who got abandoned in the streets of one of the more prosperous city states, raised (depending on the story you hear) by either Tieflings or alcoholic dwarves. Though he's gruff, strict, and tends to spend most of his time grumbling when not barking orders, he's proven to be quite capable of keeping your squad alive and recognizing the unique talents of those involved. Ausrik wields a crossbow in one hand and a rapier in the other, one of the few things about him that is stereotypical Drow.
