- Mayor Zanzibus Preen: A well-meaning, but somewhat clueless doddering relic. Harmless and all for preserving tranquility, which is why he's stayed in power for so long.
- Dean Aladras Koriam: An Eladrin mage and professor of arcane study who remained separate from the Hyram order, he was promoted to Dean thanks to his outstanding credentials and professionalism. He remains as stalwart as he was as a teacher about ethical practices and personal responsibility.
- Ronald Hulman, Owner of "Vallish Sundries": A caravan merchant who struck it rich by setting up shop, Ronald Hulman keeps his business in the money by being able to predict buying trends. Traveling merchants with new and unusual wares seek him out; If Ronald approves and makes a purchase, it's a surefire sign that their product will move. Vallish Sundries has become a gauge of economic health and product patterning. It's rumored that he may even be selected to serve as Minister of Finances in the next decade or so, though he usually demurrs to comment on it.
- Vebin Horagee, Master Farrier: Vebin's one of the most unusual Halflings you'll ever happen across. Trained by the best of the dwarven blacksmiths, he grew tired of the constant traveling usually required of a Farrier; a crafter of armor. His desire to settle down and make a home, as natural to Halflings as good food and long naps, led him to Vallish. In Vallish, he found a good fit; A town of good size without the bustle of a city, warm hearths and hearts, and most importantly, a steady stream of business to keep his prodigious appetite well funded. He recently proposed to a fine young Halfling lass who works as a servant at one of the town's more successful taverns, which may have something to do with the gossip that she's taken to being "In a family way."
- Diana Parnassus (Deceased), Craftsmage: Vallish is not without its moments of tragedy, however, and the Massacre of The Dark Moon eleven years before stands out as the most powerful. A woman of a common family name in Kalonese society, Diana was known by her customers and friends as a friendly woman who always strove for excellence in her work. Widowed young, she raised her son William as best as she could, but the lack of a strong male role model led to some noticeable strain. When William was 16, the Massacre of The Dark Moon struck. Diana Parnassus and her apprentices were working into the night on a commissioned project for Havendusk University. By the time the watch came out to investigate the noises that bystanders had heard, but dared not approach, the damage was done. Diana and everyone within was dead, along with several unknown assailants. Though the watch later closed the case, they never released their findings to the public, choosing to silence the issue. The town of Vallish may not know who is to blame for the Massacre, but they mark it. Many believe her son William either ran away in terror, or more likely, died beforehand trying to stop the unknown attackers. William is remembered as being a more violent and physically-minded youth, but always fiercely loyal to family. What little of it he had left.
