Mount Killed in Combat
From the official rules:
Soft Fall: You negate damage when you fall off a mount. If you fail the Ride check, you take 1d6 points of damage and are prone. This usage does not take an action.
So where does the rider land?
House Rule: If your mount dies, you make a DC15 ride check. If you succeed you take no damage, you are not prone, and you can choose any square the mount occupied to land in. If you fail the DC15 ride check, you land in a random square the mount occupied, take 1d6 damage, and are prone.
Naturally occuring fog will not limit visibility to 5 feet. I will roll to randomly determine visibility distance in fog. Magically induced fog will still limit visibility to 5 feet.
