A Revenant is a ghastly thing to behold. The magics that perverted the natural cycle have also warped the body which you inhabit- but it has given you a vessel to exact your revenge and that, that is all that matters. Your body has been warped, you are naturally taller, your skin is pale - almost see through, your skin has ragged holes in places that do not bleed. You are a monster- and if seen you will be treated as such.

Your mindset works differently. For some reason now, honor and law are a paramount in your being. Innocents seem more valuable to you alive than dead, ancestors- your family from when you were alive too- both seem to truly matter to you now. Quick, merciful deaths seem the right thing to do, torture disgusts you. paramount.

You are unsure where this stems from, but it feels almost as if it "escalates" you, above normal humans.

Type: Undead Monstrous Humanoid


A Revenant has the following features: 12-sided Hit Dice (regardless of class) Good Will saves (regardless of class) Claws: 1d6 + Str, act as +1 weapons against Good aligned creatures. Revenant is automatically proficient.


A revenant possesses the following traits: Living Undead- Has a constitution score. Darkvision out to 60 feet. Immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, stunning, disease, and death effects. Not subject to critical hits, nonlethal damage, ability drain, or energy drain immune to fatigue and exhaustion effects. Cannot heal damage on its own, although it can be healed. Negative energy (such as an inflict spell) can heal a Revenant. The fast healing special quality works regardless. Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless). Uses its Charisma modifier for Concentration checks. Not at risk of death from massive damage, but when reduced to 0 hit points or less, it is immediately destroyed. Not affected by raise dead and reincarnate spells or abilities. Resurrection and true resurrection cannot affect revenants. Proficient with its natural weapons, all simple weapons, and any weapons granted by class. Revenants do not breathe, eat, or sleep except as mentioned below. They do not bleed.

The Hunger

A Revenant must feed on human flesh every 48 hours, the amount must be equal to at least half their own body weight. Thus two Revenants could share a body provided the total weight of the creature consumed adds up to at least half of each Revenants body weight combined.

This forces a number of benefits and disadvantages:

It heals 1/4 of the Revenants total HP. The Revenant is forced to take that humans face, skin tone, form and the weeks worth of memories. The sudden shock of death conveyed by the corpse results in one hour of reduced will saves (shown with a -2 penalty to Will saves) The Revenant is granted +2 strength, +2 con for one hour as the humans own soul enhances the Revenants Any sight of the humans affiliations and/or family causes the stress of the humans memories to force a Revelation. There is a cumulative 20% per encounter chance of this happening. If successful that human cannot trigger a Revelation for a full 24 hours. The Revenant must take the form, face and memories until a new corpse is fed upon or 48 hours elapses, whichever comes first. At the end of the 48 hours the Revenant reverts to its true form. The Revenant must feed upon a body that was slain in the passed hour. The Revenant must make the kill himself or with another Revenant. If made with another Revenant the kill must be shared or no effects take place. There is no honor in feasting on an already dead corpse and a Revenant would never sink so low.

The Revelation

Sunlight does not hurt a Revenant. However it's purity shows a Revenant for what they truly are- revealing their form regardless of which human they have taken. This form has a 10' radius of Fear (Will DC: 10+Class Levels) that works only on intelligent humanoids. It also has a rotting powerful odor that causes any creature within 5' to become Nauseated (Fortitude DC10+Class levels (Max +10)). This odor and the True Form are not present out of direct sunlight or at night time.

A Revelation can also be caused by the shock of seeing a victims family, close friends or meaningful humans in that individuals life (see above)
