A Time of Darkness
War. War once again ravaged the known galaxy. Sith fought Jedi. Jedi fought Sith. Mandalorians fought the Republic. Jedi fought Jedi. A thousand years of peace was rent asunder in the blink of an eye by decades of bloody war.
Not that it made much difference out here. "The Fringe" they called it. The systems that lay just outside the Republic that had stood for 20,000 years. Oh, sure, war had arrived here, but most of these systems were not important enough to squabble over all that much. All a good captain had to do to survive was be aware of which people they had to pay the bribes to.
There was a lot of money to be made out here, if you kept your head down, didn't ask questions, and could stay one step ahead of the pirates....
