Detailed Description

Before we go any further, allow me to tell you that you're getting an unprecedented opportunity here. My kind doesn't talk about itself to your kind-not now and for the most part, not ever. We have spent five centuries weaving a stage curtain that we call the Masquerade to hide the real show from you, but in the end, it comes down to simple fact: We vampires do not want you mortals knowing we're out there. It's for the same reason the wolf doesn't want the sheep knowing he's around. It makes our work easier. For example, though we do indeed possess the sharpened canines with which dime novels and cinemas have branded us, you mortals will not see them unless we choose to reveal them.

Why do you look so pale? This will not due, if we are going to be seen later- allow me to take care of looking pale for both you and I. Still, I must admit I am disappointed that you seem so disturbed by the notion of my being a true vampire and not some wanna be goth. Please take this moment and compose yourself, if you indeed can. Truth be told, I am afraid that's the least of the shocks waiting for you this night. Please do not waste time, for my time is endless a mortal's time is fast and fleeting. You will find no rational or scientific explanation, because frankly there isn't one. It is just what I am. What many of us are, some would say to many by some accounts.

So shall I continue, or have you heard enough of my tale, this does not have a happy ending, and either way from here you are dead to your old life, so I ask you, want to hear more and live as what you fear or do you need a moment to make things right with your maker...... Yes, take a second to think about it, eternal is a long time, but even longer when you are one of the damned.

=======================================================

Any Kindred can stake a claim in Chicago, claim a haven and territory, and try to make the best of it. It is, after all, one of the wealthiest domains in the United States. But a few nights into that Kindred’s stay — even as they’re feeling secure with their influence — another vampire, or that vampire’s ghouls, or even their mortal subjects, will show up at the new Kindred’s door. They might make offers. They might promise deals. They probably smile as they threaten. There’s a cost to being a Kindred in Chicago and your debts will stack up, all as the hierarchy of vampires above you count the sacrifices you’ve made for an honored place under their control.

  1. What's new in this game
  2. 🙏 Thanks, Im in a better area, but in the path. Got a good place to ride it out.
  3. The news of Milton's approach have even reached local papers on the European side of the Atlantic. I wish you the best of luck!
  4. Steffan Vampire, ? BP: ? WP: ? HP: Uninjured Disciplines: ? XP 0 Steffan gives a half-shrug to Alex "Haiku is short, and while sequence is rigid it is easy to come up with one on the fly. We're in the club where is hard to see from one wall to another, or it would be for a Kine. Hence shadows. If I was trying to hit on a sorority girl with a penchant for scarfs and French berets I would blabber something about flowers." He does some quick counting on his fingers "Petals kiss the breeze, Colors dance in morning light, Nature's soft whispers." He smiles at his counterpart "I go for easy, and leave the philosophy to your kind. Once you accomplish whatever you aim for, you might have need for someone with my skillset who prefers things simple. Some call it hanging by someone else's coattails, but I prefer to think of it as a mutual benefit." He flashes his mischievous grin at a slightly older-looking man. He notices the new arrival and barely suppresses the lifting of his eyebrows when she actually nods to them and barely collects himself in time to nod back. Julia, Ventrue, took to the unlife as the fish to the water, he overheard Alexes acquaintance of higher rank, Isabella, that her name was also already mentioned in mid echelons of Ivory Tower. For a neonate that was a fast rise, Alex might have an actual rival. But why she would be in the Succubus Club eluded him.
  5. JULIANA BRAVO VENTRUE, Capitalist Her drink arrives with some efficiency and she thanks the waiter for his service. Juliana has caught a few words for this conversation and assumes these immortal predators must be talking about Star Wars or Trek, or some other blockbuster franchise that she doesn't follow. Uninterested in that kind of entertainment she focuses her attention elsewhere for the moment. Her eyes linger on the details of this place, the old features of the floor, walls, and ceiling. She studies the architecture and interior design, and evaluates the furniture and glassware. She studies the aesthetics and slowly shifts her senses to what she can smell and taste in the air. Opening up her senses to this place allows her consciousness travel back in time and imagine what this place has been like through the decades since its creation, and wonders about the other kindred that used this "safe" gathering place for vastly different philosophies that rule their clans.
  6. Alex Vampire, ? BP: ? WP: ? HP: Uninjured Disciplines: ? XP 0 Alex leaned back in his chair, his eyes flickering with a playful glint as he addressed Michelle. "Ah, a friend named Lucy. Will she be joining us tonight? She must be quite the companion to share your love for literature." His gaze shifted to Steffan as he mused, "Your haiku dances with shadows, Steffan. Quite fitting for our nightly escapades, wouldn't you agree?" Alex's gaze briefly wandered to the doorway, where he noticed Juliana slipping in quietly, her presence a subtle ripple in the room's ambiance. Though she didn't join their circle, he made a mental note of her solitary demeanor, a shadowy figure on the periphery of their gathering. With a soft sigh, he returned his attention to the group, the hint of curiosity lingering in his mind about her quiet entrance. Turning his attention to the broader group, he added with a wry smile, "As for The Space Trilogy and the rest of Lewis's cosmic musings, they do hold a certain charm, though I find the whispers of ancient tomes far more compelling." Ooc
  7. Oh you should be scared. Lol it's not too bad so far.
  8. Victor Vampire, ? BP: ? WP: ? HP: Uninjured Disciplines: ? XP 0 Victor tries hard not to dislike the newcomer although everything about her screams Ventrue. To distract himself, he joins the Narnia discusiion: "I saw the movie picture last week at the cinema. Tilda Swinton. I don't remember much else though. I was sitting behind a lonely old man, B negative, a bit melancholic, satisfying, but rather distracting. It didn't help that I left before the end." He grins toothily.
  9. I think I am caught up!!!! Though I have not read any of the story section you all created... might be scared. LOL.
