What are your thoughts on alignment, as it's not as critical in the Remaster. I was thinking of going Champion of Arazini, but I'd prefer to go Tyrant, rather than Desecrator, however if doing strict alignments, Arazini only allows NE champions.

I am fine with picking the type of paladin that worst best for mechanics. We don't need to strictly follow the alignment rules. I will mention that Arazni might have some complications with Geb. Part of the campaign is going to be coming into power within the structure of Geb and from what I can tell Arazni might have some problems with Geb and worshippers in Geb. Not a hard no, more of a "you'll be constantly flirting with anathema the whole time" thing.

Oh I'm going to add this to the main description but for those of you who have already read it. If you are familiar with this adventure path I know the first few books at least are pretty combat heavy. I will be pairing down some of the combats that don't really add anything interesting so that it's less of a slog going through the early game.

100% ... though I think I'd be toying with those loyal to Geb, moreso than Anathema ... Arazini's edicts are pretty simple ..

Her edicts are: act with dignity, do whatever it takes to survive, despise and never forgive those who have hurt you. While her Anathema are: create unwilling undead, insult Arazni.

So as long as I'm not creating undead, willy nilly, or disrespecting her directly, I'm likely good. However, given that she used to rule Geb in the Gand Necromancer's absence, and there was a purge of her more, public, sympathizers, I think the bigger concern would be hiding his allegiances from Geeb, considering his paranoia.

I wouldn't be planning to work against the other players, but if he got the opportunity to throw some other Bloodlords under the bus, especiallyonesinvolved in Aazini's imprisonment, or abuse, he'd gladly do so

If that's not something that you're comfortable with in the game I can come up with something else ...

This should work fine. I missed the unwilling part. Technically according to law anyone who dies in Geb is fair game to become undead so most would be willing if the party goes that route.

Just remember you don't get your Alchemist archetype until 2nd level. You only get your archetype stuff early if it's an Undead archetype.

I'm in the same boat with my duelist archetype.
