Sheets Viewer Update - Cache Clear May Be Required

Recommended Posts

An update to the sheets viewer was deployed earlier today, May 31, to give everyone access to the new folder system. Unfortunately it created a cache error, which has resulted in numerous reports of blank pages when trying to view the sheets list or individual sheets. Manually clearing the cache (not cookies) for your browser should resolve the issue. If you continue to see problems after clearing cache, please post in the Support forum.

If you're unsure how to clear your cache, this link has helpful information for a variety of browsers: https://filecamp.com/support/problem-solving/hard-refresh/

A potential resolution of the underlying bug with sheet authentication looping/grey screens has been deployed. Unfortunately, this probably means there will be a number of you who will need to manually clear cache to get the latest copy, as the bug was located in a spot where it could cause a race between site loading and cache clearing. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I hope we are close to putting this to bed permanently.

Pushed the first viewer update since the cache clearing fix. This one improves error handling for lost session tokens, intended to resolve the issue where the sheet toolbar unexpectedly disappears. I am hopeful that there won't be any reports of refresh loops, but if you see one, please let me know in Site Feedback.
