Rumrunner Posted October 24 Clone Share Posted October 24 About gravity, I assume a ship large enough to have a baby ship, has simulated gravity. But what about a dead ship that's powered down? Ie the one we're investigating? Would the raptor impose gravity on it or no? Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
slipshod Posted October 24 Clone Share Posted October 24 I think magnetic boots or something that like if there isn't any gravity. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
Rumrunner Posted October 24 Author Clone Share Posted October 24 (edited) So all our Scanners have names? Mine will be SAM for screen-a-majig or scan-a-majig, so versatile. I think we should all have a personal ai. Rumrunner Posted Wednesday at 02:45 AM Author Clone Share Posted Wednesday at 02:45 AM (edited) @Narizi I'm pretty sure we were already told that this ship doesn't have the range to be in deep space like this, it's a mining vessel and is supposed to simply be short range transport, designed to the LAMS(Mining Ship). ie. it shouldn't be out here at all. I think a comparative scenario might be finding the Talon adrift, it's supposed to be with it's main ship that it's registered to, something went very wrong for it to be here. Hense why Nova's speculating on what went wrong on the LAMS for it to have tried to run... especially if there's a distress beacon that may have come from the registrant mining ship. Narizi Posted Wednesday at 08:02 AM Clone Share Posted Wednesday at 08:02 AM @Rumrunner. Oh i get it as a player, and agree with your comments. But for Silvia, comments were more towards joanna believing its a trap, or why people would try and coup, escape in the first place. Silvia is very sheltered, like think of people that have never experienced drugs, violence, the bad our world has in their little bubble they live in. They know they exist because of the news, etc., but not why people would ever live that life. This is her first experience coming face to face with the realities of life outside that bubble she's lived in. So instead of tackling life altering reality shifts in Perception, she'll tackle 3 hours to emergency power being very short. this ship has a medbay/gym, sleeping chambers. mess hall, so clearly longer term habitation is at least thought of. Granted maybe it burned all its fuel getting to here and it's adrift cause it's out of fuel, or it's adrift because it was scuttled, or maybe it's a trap, and the engines are disabled because someone pulled out a wire. Lots of ways for a ship to have to go emergency power, and Silvia is curious to figure out which. Rumrunner Posted Wednesday at 11:16 AM Author Clone Share Posted Wednesday at 11:16 AM oh, Nova could be wrong, she's assuming the most dramatic reasons, life's taught her "this is going to go come out worse than you think" so she gave up on thinking logically and just pieces it together from the most sensational stories she's heard or experienced. If you ask her why she believes any of that, it's because "it's obvious". She's a bit of a trouble chaser, because that's the way you get the best stories to tell, and the way people get to know your name... she ain't becoming Nobelity any time soon..
