I'm no expert on 40k, and the only RPG i've played was Inquisition i believe and i played psykers so, the chance to make an actual space marine might be too much to pass up. Now i have to choose between Space Marine doggos and the only space marines that actually care about people.

That said, is it just the deathwatch RPG? I don't know if there are any other versions but i have this one.

Are the alternate careers from… I think First Founding available to take? Tyrannic War Veteran for Ultramarines seems like a perfect fit for Final Sanction.

Hmm, subject to my approval, I guess - I notice that one of the options given is for playing a dreadnaught, which might be a bit much. 😉 I'm fine with Tyrannic War Veteran, if that's how you want to spend your starting XP.

I've got a fair few ideas germinating right now, but I wanted to float a ruling by you.

Would the Siegecraft Talent Imperial Fists have access to (If he has time to prepare the battlefield (1d5 hours at a minimum), the Imperial Fist may improve the Armour Points of a piece of cover by a number equal to his Intelligence Bonus. At the GM’s discretion, this effect may apply to a number of pieces of cover equal to the Space Marine’s Rank. This bonus stacks with that of the Siege Master ability, but the bonus points are added after any effect from Siege Master. The effects of this Talent cannot be applied more than once to any piece of cover, and the effects are permanent) stack with the Techmarines Improve Cover Special Ability (The Techmarine can add a number of Armour Points equal to his unmodified Intelligence Bonus to any cover (see page 246). Improving cover requires one Full Action.)?

Sure. They're two different effects, after all. Imperial Fists are great at fortifying places, Techmarines are great at fortifying places. Makes sense that Imperial Fist Techmarines are really astonishingly great at fortifying places. 🙂

If we're not crazy about our rolls, can we allocate points as in the corebook?

No, but I'm willing to let you swap the rolls around, if you like. Like, I saw you got a snake-eyes, so I'm okay with you putting that in whatever stat you care about the least. 😉

Just to double-check. You can't buy things - like talents - from just the big talent list, it has to be either from A) General SM Advances, B) Deathwatch Advances or C_ Specialty advances. I just noticed that there were three lists so i'm thinking thats right but i just wanted to make sure because there are so many talents to cross reference.

There are also D) Chapter advances. But other than that, yes.

lol I freaking love it.

Dark Angels (nerds): Interrogation, like a ass-load of forbidden lore, hatred, paranoia

Space Wolves (cool dudes): Carouse, Perform, Wrangling, Talented (carouse)

(I need Wrangling because i want one of those fenrisian wolves as a pet)

Yeah, I honestly think that the Chapter Advance tables paint a better picture of what each Chapter is all about than their writeups. There's also Ultramarines being square-jawed Captain Americas ("if we all pull together, we can do this!"), and Blood Angels being all about throwing themselves at the enemy and ripping their throats out... but they also have Talented (Trade (Artisan)), because they like to think that they're refined blood-thirsty psedo-vampires. 😎
