Background & Other Notes
Years ago an elf called Chani was found in the throes of child birth. Her mother the matriarch of their clan called the family into action, aunts and sisters kicked into action doing all they can to assist in the birth of her child. When Chani was first discovered to be pregnant the clan assumed it was a miracle child, Chani had only been married a month but to be so far along already was a blessing. The baby began to crown and the mid wife prepared Chani's husband to cut the umbilical cord and immediately get it to the still but as the baby was born, water was no longer a concern. When Hitam entered the world it wasn't into the loving embrace that everyone expected, no. Hitam was born into contempt. He wasn't the elven pure blood like his grandfather who he was named for. He was an abomination, a freak of nature. Chani wasn't the innocent girl everyone had thought she was, Chani had been sleeping with the human merchant that frequented their outpost and conveniently disappeared when he realized she was pregnant with his progeny. Years went by and Hitam went through life as an afterthought. He was the last to eat, the last to drink and if there wasn't enough he simply went without. Around his 8th or 9th season the matriarch had enough. He was her grandchild which is why she allowed him to live but his presence was straining her patience, resources were tight and no begging from Chani would stay her decision. Hitam was to be cast out into the desert, the elements would handle the bloodshed for her. Chani ran to her young child and gave him her old bone knife and her daily water ration. She whispered into his ear "Live" and kissed him on his forehead. Hitam was cast out of the outpost and forced to survive out in the wild desert, days went by and his tiny legs gave out. His body was massively dehydrated and he was close to death. Hitam's heart beat began to slow and his eyes were so dry he could no longer see. His time was up but his body wouldn't let him die. Hitam had always heard whispers but everyone simply told him that was because he was an abomination, but in his last moments the voice suddenly became audible like him knocking on deaths door had brought him closer to whatever has been trying to reach him. The voice told him to rise, the voice told him that it would give him the power to not only live but prosper, all it asks for in return is his devotion. With the last of his life he muttered "I will...." and his body gave out. He awoke in an oasis, clear water washing over his limp body. The voice now barely audible did manage to get it's message across, written on the bank of the pool was "Purge and Punish Them" Many seasons later, Hitam feeling he had some mastery over the blessings bestowed on him, decided to venture away from the oasis that had sustained him. He would punish the infidels, teach them the error of their ways and purge the land.
