The boat had left from Kanto a full week prior, yet it still had yet to have reached it's destination. The ships captain glanced at his pocket watch then up at the stars. It had been a full month waiting for the right star alignment to pass into Erstwire, but it was worth it due to the pay, and the very extended vacation for himself and the crew. While he had never much been into training pokemon himself, he could see why the trainers on board would want to risk passing through a time-space wrinkle in the middle of the ocean to explore a new region and he quietly envied them.

Checking his pocket watch again he turned to 6 degrees North North East just as energy fields begin to warp around the ship. Well, if it goes wrong, at least they wont ever realize it.

The world of pokemon, full of amazing pokemon and adventure! But there is not just one world for trainers to adventure in. After the events of Pokemon White, a rift began to open in the ocean a weeks travel south of the Kanto region. When scientists set out to explore the rift, the last thing they'd expect to find was a new region on the other side. Now, under certain constelations, ships can travel through the rift to the new region.

Character Creation

It has all you need.

Note: we are using the 1.31 beta version.

What the character know
All the character know about this new region is of the Town they are about to arrive in and the more important people of the town. None of the players are starting out for the first time and native from this new region. They can be from any region currently explored though, including non-canon areas shown in the movies and anime.

Decided to rejigger my concept a bit, but now I've got another question.

The requirement for the Stat Ace is at least 3 pokemon with a stat of 20. I realize that this was partially addressed by the link in the advertisement (stats requirement is 15 instead of 20), but are 3 pokemon still required, or can we take Stat Ace using only the initial 2 pokemon we begin with?

Initial 2 is fine.

Definitely interested. Any rules regarding starting with a shiny? I have an idea for a character who found one early on and now wants to research them more and catch a bunch of em.

Sorry, no shinies.

Sounds like a watcher collector... You might work it into your back story that you saw and failed to catch a shiny pokemon, and got hooked on them.

And I'm honestly not sure which one should be the cross-class. Watcher has harsher prereqs, but you need to get those and more in order to get Shiny Hunt. Also, you can start collector, so I'm beginning to think capture specialist should probably be the base class... Just my opinion of course, but this build will take a long while to pull off... 24 wisdom for shiny hunt, 5 collector features for rarest prize... Just don't try to go for dual wielding or multitask and you should be fine though, I calculate... That you can manage to grab those two features by level 8 if you go directly for them with zero deviation. 20% chance per day for a shiny? Not a bad rate when you always get 2 pokemon caught credit for them. After you have those features, you'd be drowning in levels.

Edit: Yeah, level 8, start with 16s in int, dex, wis, grab capture specialist 1, collecter 2, 3 more collector features at 3, 4, and 5, watcher at 6 (technically qualify at 4, there's versatility there), rarest prize at 7, shiny hunt at 8. Every single stat point in wisdom of course, by 8 you'll have your 24. After that you can go for bread and butter features like capture point + at 9, max at... 13 if you go for it's prereqs... it's not a bad build. (keeping in mind in standard play, you can't manage both features until 10)

Edit2: and there is absolutely no way mathematically you can get both features any earlier. If you just wanted one, You could manage one at 6, although for shiny hunt you'd need to start researcher. You might be able to manage level 5 if you got a second advanced class that boosted wisdom, but then you'd have to kiss collector goodbye. I'm sorry if this bothered you, but the interaction of those two classes interested me as a mechanical challenge. I used to hang around in the Wizards character optimization forums, so I like mechanical challenges like that.

In Coach: There were many complaints about the 1.32 Coach, they changed it back to the 1.31 Coach on the wiki. Next update will have the old Coach back.

Actually Requiem, I found that very useful. Definately something I'll be referring to a bit here :3
