Had a paladin named Duncan that I played to the hilt, all super cheesy romantic prose and archaic language, but all delivered in a Bill-and-Ted style stoner/surfer accent. He was a beast, too, just carved bad guys up, but really the highlight was having a character that gave me the opportunity to proclaim "Verily, dude, and forward with alacrity!"

My current favorite active character is in 5e. Duke Rustheart; a Dragonborn Fighter using the Unearthed Arcana Brute Subclass and Tavern Brawling to grapple and bludgeon people senselessly. He was fun for the sake of he was illiterate and kindof dumb having 6 int and 20 str.
