Thank you for this. It was nice coming back after six years and getting things rolling again.

And thank you all for the work you do behind the scenes to make this site so great.

People come back and need/want things from archived games all the time. Game info takes about 50MB total, and our entire history of over 10 million posts is really just about 7GB of storage.

The real kicker is sheets - over 30GB for those. And (I forget) another 10-20GB for the old sheets.
whoa-- That's a lot of storage for just sheets!! I'll definitely delete the sheets I don't intend on using. My friends and I had game last night and we were all reliant on digital copies we had posted here for our sheets, oops. I should learn to be better about following my own advice and make my own backups too.

Thank you for all your hard work for keeping this site up! that was a fairly quick repair and it is much appreciated!!!

This would be another terrific reason to be or stay a community supporter...money for them to upgrade the gear that keeps this place running smoothly!

Part of the storage situation is that we stopped deleting things. Kinda ever. Deleting won't help, so don't do it if you might need those in the future! We used to get inundated with requests to undelete sheets people had accidentally deleted, or if there was a problem saving or some other data issue, recovery was a pain because it meant digging through backups. Now we keep every save of a sheet in a revision and never delete anything so that people can have access to their historical data.

Just wanted to point out (and I posted this here already):

The banner above the navigation bar still points to http://www.myth-weavers.com/ which shows the maintenance message.

However, the link to the forum page (http://www.myth-weavers.com/forumhome.php) works fine.

I don't think so... i did a reboot prior to discovering the issue, and it was also happening on my other devices.

Repairing the old sheets data, any page that depends on it (so some games) will be slow for a while.

Same issue as parody. And yes, I've cleared my cache twice.

Also trouble with blank pages showing up about 30% of the time when I click to go to any page. But that has been happening for a long while now.

Please don't let things go on for a "long while," tell us. Please make a thread in Site Discussion with relevant links and I can look into it.
