Lords of the West

So... whatever happened to the heroes who liberated the western kingdoms 10 years ago, the Lords of the West?

Are they now running the kingdoms?

Are they actively opposing the existing lords of sin?

Best guess? Consolidating their power, preparing to assault the remaining Lords of Sin. They caught the previous ones by surprise, and those were the weakest of the Seven. Not necessarily in terms of personal strength or magical ability, but in the resources that were available to them. In order to take down the remaining Lords of Sin, they would need to be far, far stronger and smarter than they were when they began this endeavour.

By comparison to Kale, Kelerak or Daven; the Twin Kingdoms of Zeland and Orland have forces that are far more entrenched and, crucially, aware of the very real enemy in the west. Then you have Wawmar - practically unassailable by conventional forces, and it would take an incarnation avatar of an Assassination God or something to slip through unnoticed and triumph there. Farland too is similarly defended, albeit more by virtue of being accessible from the west only through a very few routes that would be easy to keep under heavy guard.

Chaos is essentially correct. So the canon World of Farland Campaign Setting is set in the year 8170 FR.

If you want to know the non-canon version of what happens with the Lords of the West, you can read their story here: http://www.farlandworld.com/journ2.html

But anything that happens with them starting at the beginning of 8170 on should probably not affect or take place in your campaign.

Awesome. That's pretty much what I was thinking as well. Thanks for the clarification.

Ran an introduction adventure for 2 of my players to get them to the 'starting line' last night. Dark Folk were trying to get to the corpse of the original grand master of the monastery to raise a powerful undead... a minor companion to the Towers of Waiting scenario provided which will be run by the full group when the campaign starts in full after the holidays.

Game went well and the players had a great time. Thanks again for the fantastic campaign setting. I cant wait to find out what happens next!

Thanks for the update! Sounds like you ran a great game.
