Quick questions and answers

Hm. No Spellblade. Spell Immunity wouldn't work even if there was a version that covered 9th level spells since Game Disjunction is SR: No.

Which means the only ways I know of is blocking LoE (that does work against bursts right?) and specific Epic spells.

1% a CL is actually kind of low, depending on what this is for. In a non epic game that's about 1:4 odds, and even if they succeed the Game Disjunction still does not affect you.

Anyways, here's how I recommend blocking LoE:

Get yourself a semi spherical dome made of something really hard. Apply Hardness and such to make it more durable. Cast Shrink Item on it, and put it on your head. Set up a Contingency to cast some really low level Dispel on the hat if an enemy casts Game Disjunction on you. Choose to automatically pass your check.

Result: Enemy casts Game Disjunction, you now have a big dome blocking the area so it doesn't affect you.

This won't work if you're using an AMF obviously, and you'd likely need to Dimension Door out or something to keep up the fight.

I have an easy one for you guys. I want to play a sorc, but familiars are weak. I know of two variants that ditch familiars, but they are lame. One gives you meta magic w/o the cast time, the other will let you have an animal companion at 1/2 sorc lvl.

Question: Are there any other cool variants for ditching your familiar if you're a sorcerer?

Well, UA has a variant for specialist wizards that allows them to ditch familiars, but there's always the option of, ya know, just not taking one. Except for toads (3 HP! Woo!) there's not really a reason to.

There's a couple feats that let you take baby dragons and the like as familiars, but it's not really worth it, especially for a sorcerer.

Get a DM to let you take one of the Wizard variants and give your spell list a clear leaning towards the appropriate school to justify it.

Bastards and Bloodlines has a way to shift the casting stat of any casting class. Of course, if you can find a DM who will actually accept something from Bastards and Bloodlines, you'd be better off just asking to play a wisdom-based sorcerer.

Deflection bonuses don't stack with each other.

Hmmm... Would Wings of Cover from Races of the Dragon work for this?

I don't think so, any more than holding a shield in front of your face would. The spell can still get to 'you' (that is to say your items/equipment). If just covering your body could protect you from LoE spells, then every adventurer would wear robes and wraps, instead of Body by Boris
